Blue Shadow I have a 52 inch RCA T.V. I don't know how to really explaine it but at the bottom and on the left side of the screen...it's a different color then the top. and when I watch a movie or something...the pic on the bottom and the left usually have blue shadows...but not at the top and dthe right side..
YOU CAN TRY TO ADJUST THE COVERSION POINTS USING THE MENU OPTIONS IF THIS DOES NOT WORK THEN YOUR CONVERSION CHIPS HAVE TO BE REPLACED IT COST AROUND 200 TO 250 DOLLARD

Go to menu then setup look for convergence if you Do NOt see convergence then you have a open fuse FL231 Located on right side of FBT there is 3 in a roll small brown rectrangle looking caps but they are Fuses it will be in the one in the middle.
replace convergence ics .press the menu and go into the convergence
alignment.see if you are able to align the blue convergence. if not replace the convergence ics.
No. I would suspect it being a Optical Block issue. I is not a pretty repair not to mention the cost factor. If you could get in touch with Hitachi Customer Service they could lead you to s service facility that could comfirm what I think.
Focus and screen control box / remove front bottom panel there you will find it / it has 3 controls on top 3 on bottom top are focus for RGB tubes bottom controls adjust screen drives for RGB.
