I have somewhat the same problem and can't figure the thing out. I opened it and the springs under there all look fine.

Highseas, if opening yours is the same as mine it should be easy, there should be screws at the bottom of your control panel, then flip up the panel, not at the back you should see two shaped brass clips, take those out, and undo the connection that goes through the sheet metal. You should now be able to tip the whole sheet metal covering towards yourself. Good Luck.

If anyone else has some incite please post it up.
Thanks,

Roper washer top loader. I have replaced the rods, the washer works fine until final spin, it's like out of balance.

Check the feet, they must all be firmly planted with equal weight and level left to right and front to back.

If your Roper washer shakes excessively during the spin cycle, this can be caused by your machine sitting on an uneven surface, worn-out rollers, or damaged feet. To solve this problem, you will need to level the floor where your washer is sitting or replace its wheels if there are any worn-out parts.

Maytag washing machine walks across floor during spin cycle

Did you set the back feet before leveling? On most units to set and lock the back feet you need to pull the top towards you so that the back is raised off the floor, then set it down again, this will release the feet and lock then down. The you level the two front feet. After this is done you must make sure your load is balanced. Distribute the items as evenly as you can in the tub. Once it gets to the spin cycle if its walking or shaking a lot, stop it and redistribute the items more evenly in the tub. Also try not to overload the unit or combining many heavy items with few light ones. If this is a new machine, did you remove the shipping locks from the back before using it? They have plastic strips attached to them, make sure they have all been removed, as well as any shipping bolts.

Washer will not stop shaking during spin cycles, we have removed akll shipping bolts

Place a load in the machine use a good level to get machine perfectly level. Now put machine on spin and check the feet. Find the one that is not solid and slowly adjust it until it stops shaking. PS place level on flat top surface and level side to side and front to back.

Why does my EPIC z walks during spin cycle even after I used the rubber pads? It moves from the right back corner out to the left.

Make sure that the leveling feet are secure with the jamb nut tight against the BODY of the washer. If not, the washer could walk during spin. Make sure that washer is flat level front to back and side to side with a 24" level. Just set the level on the top near the front and then on both sides as well. Adjust the feet and jamb nuts so that they are as low as possible. If washer is on a stand, remove drawer to adjust feet. Also, if on stands, washer will vibrate more due to increased height and natural flexion of stand. What kind of flooring? If ceramic tile, rubber feet may not couple to surface and provide enough friction to stay in place. I have had success with......I know it might sound stupid.....but buy a couple rubber jar opener pads and cut them into small pads. Put them under the rubber feet of stand or washer. These seem to make a better connection to the floor.

Front load washer shakes violently during spin cycle

On something like this you will need to remove the washer wrap to inspect the suspension springs & base assembly. Please see the link provided for accessing the inside of the washer. Be sure the shipping pins have been removed. The tub should float freely.

Front load washer shakes violently during spin cycle

I had this problem as well. I called dealer and Maytag. They made an appointment and stood me up several times.
I finally went to place that sells refrigeration equipment and bought an anti-vibration pad. It's a 12" square waffle pad used under large equipment to prevent them from vibrating loose on connected piping. I cut it into 4 pieces and put one under each corner of the dryer. Problem solved, in fact it worked so well that I stacked dryer over washer, placed pads between units and have not had a problem since. I also gained a lot of space in my laundry room as well.

Kenmore washer series 70 shakes wildly during spin during cycle

I have the same kenmore and have experience this before. It is unbalanced. Get a spirit level to check for balance. To rebalance, empty the washer (so it's not heavy), lean over the washer and grab the back, tilt it forward and the auto balancing legs should reposition themselves. Re-check for balance using the spirit level. If still out, adjust the front feet of the washer by screwing the legs up or down (using a wrench). This will cure the problem (unless you have a very unbalanced load of towels for instance). Good luck

Walking during the spin cycle

Try placing it on a rubber mat or carpet that has a rubber backing. The floor may be too smooth and allows it to walk.
