I get error code 41.3 and a message saying I have the wrong paper size. I have tried the paper handling menu, but nothing I do seems to help. When I have the printer use the open paper holder, it works, but not from tray 2.

your paper error message means you probably received a document that wasn't the size of paper in the paper tray ,try legal sized paper,to dump the job stuck in your faxes memory ,this

You cannot do that it is "Hardwired" in the printer.

I talked to tech support at Canon, and he explained that the document I was trying to print was originally scanned with an A4 paper size, and my printed is set to Letter paper size, thus producing the error code. A simple solution is to "uncheck" the box that says "choose paper source by PDF page size". It worked!!

Mr Stephen You have to check paper settings at 3 places first that you are putting correct paper size in correct tray and the paper supporter is touching the paper. Secondly your documents page setup paper size. 2. Press the menu button repeatedly until paper size comes up
3. Use arrows to change paper size from automatic to whatever size you are looking for.

Error *41 is a wrong paper size or type error. Make sure that you have chosen the correct paper size and type in the printer configuration. Easiest way to get there is through any application going FILE > PRINT > Configure.
