There is no a600 in service manual but "6A00" is a fault with the purge unit (mechanism on the right hand side that cleans and caps the print head when it is parked)
If you can move the carriage check to make sure there is no paper or foreign objects that are lodged in the purge. if you cant see any then take it in for service.
a purge replacement in this model is not really a DIY job

My Canon iP4300 printer is giving me a service error 6000 message. How do I fix this problem.

Canon:

Sounds like you might have a paper jam. Sounds like there might be a piece
of paper, or a scrap torn from a piece of paper, stuck somewhere in the
paper path. The "peculiar sound" once you switch it on could be a clue that
there is a problem of that sort as parts that are not free to move properly
grind against one another.

Canon Pixma IP 4300 printer - 3 blinking panel lights indicate paper jam, however no paper jam is present. I turned off machine, pulled power plug, waited for 5 minutes, turned on printer, but problem did...

It is possible that the printer is having an error due to either a sensor fault ( optocoupler) in the paper detect section or a possible software issue.
So disconnecct printter, and uninstall the soft ware , the reinstall and then connecct printer to be detected and installed.
If the fault stays then the sensor must be checked.

The printer screen shows "Error A600" and the printer will not work - what can I do?

Hi there
Can only try.
Error A600
Your A600 is a paper path error, usually related to the purge unit. Try checking the purge unit for paper stuck in it.

The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.
Some where in the paper path a sensor is activated indicating paper jam so the printer will give off a 6A00 code.
Almost 90% of the time is related to the purge unit being jammed with something and not being able to move.

Look for paper, paper clips, push pins, screws flower bud pods or the like.

The offending item needs to be removed or the purge unit needs replacement.

The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing. That is why you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it. It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

The purge unit is a white plastic assembly (on the right side of the printer where the print head homes) that is spring loaded on rides on a rail.
You can try moving it back and forth about 5 times or so and clean the rail with a cleanex and putting a little bit of some light oil on it and then close everything up and try it.

If you found this useful all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.

There's a small white light below the power light that's flashin.

In this case you may have to clear the memory of the printer or set the printer to default.

"Paper Output Slot Jammed" Canon Pixma iP4300

These printers are FULL of very sensitive sensors, and chances are that one of them may have a small piece of paper blocking them. If you can get the covers off by finding the "Triangle" arrow markers, you can inspect all these sensors.

Good luck!!!

Error Code

B200 is a print head error and seems to be a common issue with these printers.
