sandisk sansa c250 player with my pc is missing..can't connect thru my usb.

  • Anonymous Nov 21, 2008

I have a similar problem. The product just arrived today, but there was no software CD to be found. Hence, when I connect the MP3 player onto my PC, no driver is found, which is needed in order to upload materials. Does anybody know where I can get/download the Sandisk Sansa c250 MP3 Player software??? Thank you.

I have same problem. I downloaded songs via MSC (USB). soon after I power off and on - whatever I downloaded is erased. I tried many times and stored in various folders - same problem.

Also I dont see "settings" option in menu.

    Any suggestions ?

Deleting files from mp3 player

if its is a Flash-based MP3 player. That means that it has a small amount of built-in memory inside the player as well as an SD expansion slot for storing songs. When the player is connected, songs may be stored in either of these two places.
you probably stored your songs on the internal memory. In either case, there are two basic ways to delete songs off of your player. You can use MP3 software (such as MusicMatch) to do this or just do it by GA_googleFillSlot("TL-IMU-Article"); q.gifhand.
To delete the files, follow the same process but delete the files instead of adding them. Assuming that you are using Microsoft Windows, click on "My Computer" and find the drive that is labeled "Removable Disk" and click on it. Look for a songs folder and continue to drill down folder by folder until you see your songs show up in the list. Highlight the songs that you want to delete (or the whole folder) and hit the delete button on your computer.and it will delete.hope this helps

E250 SANSA MP3 - IVE NEVER DOWNLOADED MP3 FILES BEFORE....

I have this player and it drives me crazy, too.

I don't know if this will help delete what you don't want but plug the sandisk into your computer and open to view the contents. when you see the list of folders, at the top click on tools--then folder options--then view make sure "show hidden files and folders" is checked. click ok. then if you can see the folder you want to delete, highlight it and press the delete key on your keyboard. (if you want to save it, copy it to your hard drive instead). to put on a cd this may be a roundabout way but is fairly simple. put the cd in the computer, using windows media player rip it and save songs in a folder on the hard drive. save as mp3 (or wma should work, too.) you can read on the net how to do this. once the songs are in the folder, close media play. go to the folder and the hard drive and copy it to the sandisk . you can see on your computer if it is there. unplug from the computer and hopefully you can find it and play the songs. good luck!

Deleting songs

have you tried showing your hidden files and folders? just go to folders options. if you cant still find it, try deleting in your player...

if you still cant find it, i recommend to format your mp3 using the software providede by the manufacturer (a cd or a software) just make sure that you have a back up of your files from your mp3 so that can put it again on your player.

I can't delete the songs and the computer says my mp3 is "full"

You need to be in MSC mode to do deletion in My Computer; put in MSC mode in the settings menu under USB, then plug in, go to My Computer and open it as a drive, go to Music folder and delete by rightclicking on songs and choosing delete. You can also format the player by rightclicking on the drive letter of the sansa and choosing format. If you are deleting from a program like Rhapsody (ugh) or windows media player, you will get a lot of issues and not all will delete. Stick with My Computer in MSC. Also as a side note, make sure you have all file folders showing including hidden files in the tools menu in My Computer

I cant access the files on my Sansa from my pc

You may need some sort of proprietary software to 'see' the portion of the drive with your music. It might also be that the drive is formatted ina format not compatible with the operating system you are using. What OS are you using? Have you put music on the player in the past?

I cant delete songs off of my mp3 player

did you try going into (if you have a windows pc) My Computer, and navigating to where your player is (your player should be hooked up to your pc via a usb cord - the one that came with your player). your player could be in a removable disk - mine is (J:), or it could be under Other (all of this is still in My Computer). Click on different removable disks if you have to, until you find the one that has your player. Once you have found your player, double click to go inside it. Inside of your player should be a list of folders. One of them should be named Music. It could also have a Playlists folder, an Audible folder, or a Pictures folder, etc. Click on the Music folder. You should see a folder of all of your songs, OR you will see your song files. Select the ones you want to delete, right click and select Delete, or drag the files to your recycle bin. Hope this helps!

Making Folders & Deleting

You can make folders on your MP3 Player, but it will not be shown on the MP3 Player. It's useful if you would like to sort a specific artist/CD. When you plug the Mp3 Player in, it should have an "E" Drive. That's the MP3 Player. Then you delete a song like any other file.
