There are several circuits in the tv that will cause this. the most common on your model is a bad convergence circuit. a repair cost will range around 400.00 or so. it is a good model and worth a repair.

Gentlemen,
I have a toshiba model 50H81 CRT type rear projection TV. Just bought it second hand and it appears that the red tube is rotated slightly from the other two which causes the red convergence to be bad at the lower left of the screen. Adjusting the convergence on the menus works for overall convergence, but because of the rotation the red will always be misaligned at one corner or the other.
I have removed the panels to be able to see the yokes of the tubes. The question is: what is the best way to rotate the red tube to get them all into alignment?
Thanks,
Rick
