Right side convergence

Hi! I have a Pioneer sd-p4553. Picture has always been great. Few problems I have fixed my self such as loose resistors, etc. Annually clean guns and mirror and remove dust from boards. Have just noticed that the blue convergence on the far rightside is off (about 2 inches of screen) only noticeable on white type. Convergence line up is OK except for a little tail on the blue only on right side. IC's need to be replaced? If so, part#'s. thanks for your time. jgs

More likely an alignment issue.Ic replacement alone may not complete the repair.

A convergence IC has burned out. If I remember correctly, those Pioneer sets have one huge convergence IC, but that IC only has 5 channels in it so they use another smaller dual STK IC and one half of it is used for the 6th channel and the other half is the vertical output. Look on the convergence board, find the blue convergence jack, identify the blue horizontal channel, follow the traces and replace the IC handling the blue horizontal channel.

try to adjust in the set up menu color convergence adjustment. if can get with the adjustment then you may have bad convergence IC or resistor in the convergence circuit.

Convergence is bad on left side...good on right.....where convergence is good the picture is great

Hi,
Re-solder convergence output ICs pins and nearby big resistors that might solve your tv picture problem and if that does not help then replace both convergence output ICs to fix the problem.
Convergence output ICs would be available in local repair parts shop or google it.
Thanks.
