Pioneer Televison & Video - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

Good point :>) Connecting it to a computer, may show it as a volume, but that would be all. As I said, you have an issue that no one else has ever put into Google. That means it is very, very rare. Contact Pioneer direct. It will probably have to go to a Service Centre and be connected to dealer software. No updates

If it is 'PRICT', you are the only one to have that error in the universe! Details on resetting are in the manual. Download it, CTRL+F, type 'reset', press enter.

Make sure that the blue-ray player (HDMI Out) is connected to your TV (HDMI In) with an HDMI cable. Set the TV to the input for the player. When not viewing any content, press the Home (Menu) button. Choose the Setup icon on the screen, using the left/right buttons on the remote. Press Enter. Use the Up/Down arrows to highlight Others and press the right arrow button. Use the Up/Down arrows to highlight ARC and press Enter. Use the Up/Down arrows to highlight Yes and press Enter to confirm and save the setting. See page 38 of the manual for the XV-BD717W for the information about the Others sub-menu (including ARC). Make sure that ARC is available on the TV and is enabled if needed. The manual is available here: . I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

I rearranged furniture in my living room, picking up my pro-151fd elite, plugged it in to have no power, tried everything I could think of including an overnight reset. Thought of what could be the common denominator with most of the issues that people have, it's that they picked it up, felt under the front left and turned the tv on. The switch is not labeled, is part of a sqaure protrusion at the very bottom of the tv, 1" to the right of the "Pioneer" label, hope this helps someone who just has a dead tv without the blue flashing lights.

I have a Pioneer PDP-LX5090, Kuro Flatscreen TV, connected via HDMI4 on a Pioneer AV-receiver VSX-LX60. By connection a Chrome cast on one of the HDMI ports of the AV-receiver I got the same CEC100 error with the same message "device cannot be operated. please check the connection". By disconnection the Chromecast from the USB current feed, the problem dissapeared. Hope this can help you.

Not if your machine is locked to Region 4! It's possible there may be a region hack for your machine, have a look on and go to the hacks section.

To see if it will play try to borrow a region 1 disc. If it does not play, then you'll only be able to play Region 4 discs only.

  • 1 Turn on your DVD player.
  • 2 Open the DVD player's main drive, also commonly called the DVD "tray." The region cannot be changed while a DVD is in the machine, so many DVD players require the tray to be open as an extra precaution.

  • 3 Push "Info" or "Setup" on your remote.
  • 4 Use the remote to select the "Region" option as indicated on your TV screen.
  • 5 Select "Region 9" to change the system to multiregion formatting. Regions 1 through 8 represent specific geographic locations and will not allow multiregion playback.
