yes beforhand the tv was working just fine then one day the convergence was all over the place, not sure of where you would want me to put the meter to test if the board is blown, im still waiting for the schematics to come in. wish i could just buy a whole new board somewhere

well it must be getting power as the convergence chip (single) is getting hot and some other places, noticed some traces were under extreme heat as the paint burnt off the board but traces remain, visually i see nothing else wrong, even if one trace was bad some of the pot's should make changes when you turn em but nothing on all of them, maybe the convergence chip itlself...? you know where i could get a whole convergence board for this model by anychance?

Are the guns aligned properly? and if there is no difference can you use a voltometer to ensure the board isnt blown?

well first off visual inspect the board. then in general you would start in from where the power starts on the board. and ensure its continuing the circuit.

How to remove front screen

The screen comes off from the front. First take off the speaker grill and you can access the frame screws they are right below the screen. This only takes off the frame with the filter. After the screws are out swing the bottom out a bit and lift straight up on the frame then pull it out away from the set. I have found these to be very stubborn somtimes, but you should be able to get the frame to move then work it up and off. I hope this helps you. let me know if you have any more quesitons.

Pioneer projection blurry picture

Sounds like you lost the converigence. Have you tried to realign the convergence through the user menu? Try that first and see what happens.

Right side convergence

A convergence IC has burned out. If I remember correctly, those Pioneer sets have one huge convergence IC, but that IC only has 5 channels in it so they use another smaller dual STK IC and one half of it is used for the 6th channel and the other half is the vertical output. Look on the convergence board, find the blue convergence jack, identify the blue horizontal channel, follow the traces and replace the IC handling the blue horizontal channel.
