Looking for code for LG BD 350- can anyone help!

Just purchased this without thinking about a region code lockout. I have tons of DVDs purchased from the US on vacation and now I am devastated. Can anyone help crack this one?

Download this file unzip it to a folder on your hard drive: http://www.multi-region.net/_media/6000.zip

Burn the downloaded file RMTMOOOO AND ITS CONTENTS onto a CD disc. Make sure the disc is then finalized and closed

Load disc into the BD350. A screen appears asking to assign a number in a DVD and a Blu-ray fields; use the up/down arrow keys to place a "0" in both fields; the, press the "pause" key. This will render the BD350 region-free (for DVD's) and zone-free (for Blu-ray discs)

I have the 5083 dvd player, but it only seems to play region 2 dvds. I've tried going through the menus, but it asks for a country code. The codes are two letters A-Z. I'm assuming that there's...

The Country Code is just related to the Subtitles etc and nothing to do with the Region.
Most DVD Players/Recorders are set to Play the Region of DVD from the Country they were purchased from. Only some are Region Free (will play DVDs from any Country) when purchased.

Some DVD Players/Recorders can be changed to Region Free by simply entering a code on the Remotes handset or by following instructions to enter a Service Menu and change it their.

Unfortunately yours can only be changed by updating the Firwmare which is a risky and difficult process even if you know what you're doing. I wouldn't advise anyone to try it without previous experience as you could render your DVD Player/Recorder useless.

I bought a Samsung BD C6900 from USA designed for region 1 and A . Living in Europe I cannot play my european DVDs and BDs ? Are there any solutions to change the region code ?

Here is a solution: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks/samsung-bd-c6900/10895

Please note, however, that even after region code hack, it may remain NTSC only, so if you are planning to play European DVDs recorded with PAL system, it may not work.

American Blu ray dic not playing in my malaysian sony bdp -s370

BD media does have region codes. But, unlike current DVD players, the region codes for BD media use letters instead of numbers to indicate a particular zone or region where the discs can be played.

The BD region codes are as follows:

  • Region A: North America, South America, U.S. Territories, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and other areas of Southeast Asia
  • Region B: Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand.
  • Region C: Asia (except for Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and other areas of Southeast Asia)

Region code lock out

You can only change this code 5 times before it locks out the CD ROM drive. If it's locked out, you will need a new CD ROM drive. Your best bet is to get two external CD ROM drives and set one to region 1 and the other to region 4. This way you don't have to keep buying CD ROM drives. :)

Unlocking of Samsung BD-P1500

I have a new BD-P1500, and after 5 Times

The trick seemed to be not holding the repeat key too long.

I have a Region B/4, running
090417_01_BDP1500_XAX.RUF
I used the R4 code from below.

1) Turn on the player with no disc in the tray
Wait till the unit is at the Samsung logo screen.
2) Open then close the tray, wait to see the No-Disc Message in the top Left Corner
3) Now press the REPEAT button on the remote, followed by a five digit code.
In this case Repeat 76884

Now it to me about 5 tries to get this to work, It needed to be done without delay.
So if you don’t get it to work straight away don’t loose heart.

4) When it works a 4 will appear in the top left corner

5) Press 9 to make it regionless.
6) Press Eject to OPEN to open the disc tray.
7) Press Eject to CLOSE to close the disc tray.

8) Power the unit off

9) Now power the unit on again, it should now read all regions of DVD Disc.

From other threads I got the follow list of region codes.

R1 - 29334
R2 - 57538
R3 - 56732
R4 - 76884
R5 - 53814
R6 - 24462
