It may be that your hose is twisted - disconnect the wand from the hose and stretch the hose out and put it again. Use some baby powder on the metal rod part of the wand in the future and unwind and stretch the hose out after every use. Call the Dyson helpline if the problem continues.

How to align hose with l tube at base of Dyson?

Hi Lorne, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm not quite sure from your post exactly which parts you're trying to realign. I've attached an image which shows how to attach the wand to the hose, and how to replace the wand on the machine.

If this isn't the information you're looking for, please let me know. If you'd prefer to speak to one of our experts directly, you can reach us on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), or 1-877-397-6622 (CA).

Change the Hepa filter on Dyson dc15

Now for a proper answer haha,

Remove the bin and underneath you will find a large disc (filter holder) that the bin in sits on. This needs to be removed. Its not as easy as it should be either.

Lay the machine flat on a table and stand behind the filter and pull the two top tab points with some firmly place fingers. Once these tabs release the last bottom tab can be gently flipped off with a flat blade screwdriver from the back (behind the wand hose).

I like to peel out the old filter and clean it up with a razor blade. Once this is done you can fit a lower cost DC14 filter in and save some money. No peeling needed if you buy a DC15 filter for big bucks.

Good luck.

The wand on my dyson does not work

Hi Colleen,

I've responded to your previous question in the Dyson DC15 category, but if the model you own is actually a DC24, the directions for checking everything is correct with the machine will be slightly different. Please follow the steps shown in this support guide instead:

http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/help.asp?article=1492&product=DC24-ALLFLOORS

If you can't find any blockages but are still concerned about performance through the hose, please call us free on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US) so we can help.

Kind regards,

The hose does not work

Hi Colleen,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC15. If the cleaner picks up as normal through the cleaner head but not through the hose, it sounds as if you have a blockage somewhere in the hose or wand. The easiest way to locate and remove any blockages is to follow the steps shown in our online support guide:

http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/help.asp?article=832&product=DC15-SY-STD

This should resolve the issue, but if you need any further help, please call us free on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US).

Kind regards,

Jack

My hose will not come out and extend. If I can

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

If you are able to remove the hose and wand assembly, its worth checking for a blockage as this can cause the wand/hose to be difficult to remove and put back in place.

If you need further assistance, please call our Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK) or 1866MYDYSON (US).

Kind regards
Darran

Lack of suction in hose

That popping sound is the bleed valve activating - it indicates that there is a blockage in the machine somewhere, probably in the wand if you're saying that there is no suction in the wand.

- Take the wand off the back of the machine - press the two gray buttons to separate it from the hose - hold the wand in the air and look through it - if you can't see the light coming through the other side there's a blockage in the wand - taka a long object like a meytal hanger and remove the blockage.

If that's not the problem, call the Dyson helpline for further troubleshooting, they know what they're doing.

Dyson Ball Vacuum

At the bottomor end of the wand there is a curve hose. That is removable. Pull the wand out all the way and turn that curved piece down. It slides out. There is a little channel. It should come right off. I've been there. Let me know if it helps.
