The ink cartriges wont fit into the printer.

Did you use a brandname ink cartridge - or is it a knock-off brand? If it is a brand name - then the cartridge is most likely defective. If it is a knock-off brand - some printers do not recognize the electronic in the cartridge and therefore don't see it as one being installed.

You will be able to replace it with a BC-21e cartrige adapter witch will hold colour and black cartriges in the same spot!

take out your cartridges and check you have remove yellow tape over the air hole, if you don't remove this printer won't print.
Ensure the cartridge numbers are correct, all epson cartriges look the same but the green chips are different so they are not interchangableThe cartriges should fit into the holder with a click, if they are not pushed home fully the ink wont flow.

Try to clean cartrige and cartrige carrier conector place with soft erager.Then put cartrige into cartrige holder then gentaly push top of the cartrige sothat a `cat' sound happend, then turn on printer.

Is your friend use CISS. If so
Move Ink cartrige holder to cartrige change station.
Put off cartrige ( genuin or CISS) from carrage
Take a soft erager try to remove dry in or dust or waste everything smothly
reassemble the cartrige again
push top of the cartrige gentaly sothat it struck acurately.
Turn on printer.

Trouble with your printer ink chip that is infront of the cartrige holder. Now open ink cartrige and try to clean with cleaner / soft erazer and incert again. If it is a continuous in syply system, the problem does'n remove esily. follow these proces twice or 3. I think you get relive from the problem.

Your printer head may be closed.To remove the problem jast open ink cartrige from the cartrige chamber. set a seringe with full of black ink into the plustic pin which are tidely insert in the ink cartrige. After push 2/3 time your printer work fine again.
