Canon IR1600 Copier

The paper comes out but it only copy halfway. The drum and toner is brand new, the spacer is also new. I always clean the machine but I did not overhaul it. The machine is already on second hand. That's all the detail I know. I hope you can help me, if you want to ask more questions to solve the problem, it is really appreciated. Thank you! Good day!

SOURCE: canon mf 6550 copy no print out its came out empty page

We had the same problem with our mf6550 printing blank pages after we changed the toner cartridge. I called the support desk today and they said it is the shutter. They told me to remove the toner cartridge and then (without a cartridge in) close the door briskly. Then open the door, install the cartridge and again close the door briskly. It worked! He said it may be a permanent fix or it may act up again. He also said I could take it to a service center to have it fixed permanently. The service desk # is 1-800-828-4040. They can tell you where the nearest service center is. Good luck.

Ir1600. What causes 'rec paper jam' when there is no paper jammed?

A tiny piece of torn paper covering the sensor. Always pull the machine out and open all the doors. Shine a flashlight into all the corners. Also remove the toner cartridge and all the paper trays.

DIRTY COPIES BOTH SIDE OF PAPER

don't always believe what they say. just because its "supposed to " last a certain amount of time, doesn't mean it will. Once you get the insides dirty, its hard to get them straight again. Sometimes there is build up on the printer head from a leaky cartridge. I'm just guessing cause I had a similar brand that was brand new act up on me and because I was printing bold it started rolling the paper. I put it on economy printing to save toner and after a few runs, it cleared up. plus using a watermark helped but don't think that will help you in your situation.
Sometimes when I get a streak on one side its from light coming in from somewhere and it thinks its part of the image and prints it. If you make sure that your material is flat and not allowing light to come in or its firmly against the glass it might help.

Canon ir 1600 my copier print copy image is very poor

Hi there,
iR1600 are special machine that needs a little bit more care.

First, clean the laser unit and optics ( beneath copy glass too ). Then use some polisher and polish the developing cylinder and clean/replace developer cylinder blade.

Use GENUINE CANON DRUM UNIT and GENUINE TONER.

We have a Canon PC 400 copier. When making a

Remove the toner/drum cartridge. Carefully rotate the drum, via the end with gear, to check the edges for toner spots like appear on the copies. If located on drum, GENTLY wipe off with a dry cotton ball. Reinstall cartridge. Check to see that spots are gone. If spots reappear, replace with new cartridge (drum most likely damaged)

Dark Copies

Jim, A couple of things: 1. OEM (Canon original) toner cartridge or remanufactured/compatible? The first place to start is always with the toner cartridge when image problems occur. Pull the cartridge out and draw back the drum cover. Check to see if the drum is a nice "clean" blue color or if the lines and spots are on it like you described. (These two areas should be handled by someone with experience in copy service) 2. The next thing would involved cleaning under the copy glass. Build up from dust, etc causes a "fogginess" that makes the machine try to adjust the intensity of the exposure lamp to conpensate for this. 3. Also could be a bad upper fuser roller if you started having any paper jams when to paper exits.
