I changed the fax report settings to print a report every time a fax is sent (with pix of front page). However, the LED constantly says "Waiting for Report Output". I can't clear it as it says there is nothing in memory??? I've turned it off, unplugged??? Nothing works. Please advise, Rebecca
1) With the machine power turned off, while pressing the Stop/Reset button, press and hold the ON/OFF button. (DO NOT release
the buttons). The Power LED lights in green to indicate that a function is selectable.
2) While holding the ON/OFF button, release the Stop/Reset button. (DO NOT release the ON/OFF button.)
3)
While holding the ON/OFF button, press the Stop/Reset button 2 times,
and then release both the ON/OFF and Stop/Reset buttons.
(Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed, the Alarm and Power LEDs light alternately, Alarm in orange and Power in green,
starting with Alarm LED.)
4) When the Power LED lights in green (and "Service Mode Idle" is displayed on the LCD), press the Stop/Reset button 4 times.
5) Press ON/OFF, press Stop/Reset 2 times
6) Press ON/OFF. Unplug printer and plug back in. turn on and should be cleared
Try turning the feature off from the settings and see if that helps.

Hi!
Please go to fax settings, and adjust the RX Settings.
There would be an option "print if no ink" and set that to YES.
It will clear out the pending report that is preventing you from sending faxes.
Thanks

One of the worst instructions ever seen, even after I’ve seen thousands BAD ONES. You had 6 missing steps, wrong menu selections.
When it comes to instructions on ‘How To’ you can’t miss any step, or give selections that are NOT in the menu. Let me give you a simple analogy. Instruction Steps are like clues in a treasure hunt. You start with finding the place where the first clue is, which you use to find the next one and so on until you arrive. Any missing clue, or wrong wordings in the clue and you end up nowhere. Please compare yours and the actual and see how off you are.
Don’t say people should have common sense, when instructions should be PRECISE and you made 7!!! mistakes along the way.
YOURS:
1. go to fax settings, *** NO ‘FAX SETTINGS’ IN THE MAIN MENU
2. adjust the RX Settings. *** NO SUCH CHOICE AS ‘RX SETTINGS’
3. There would be an option "print if no ink" and set that to YES. ***THIS IS MEANINGLESS WHEN ALL 6 STEPS ABOVE ARE MISSING OR WRONG. EVEN IF ONE GETS THERE BECAUSE ONE’S IS SMART, your wordings are also wrong
CORRECT:
1. Press Menu on the printer.
2. Select Setup, and press OK.
3. Select Device settings, and press OK.
4. Select Fax Settings. and press OK
5. Select Auto Print Settings, OK
6. Bottom: Print When Out of Ink, OK
7. Select ‘Print’, OK

Disconnect
the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do
both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer
to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
Reset the setting and try
Hi,
If the device is not functioning properly or to clear memory, reset it.
1. On the operator panel, press and hold the <ON/OFF> button for one second. (The display will go blank.)
2. Wait approximately ten seconds and then press the <ON/OFF> button again.
3. Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting another job request.
I'm guessing though you still have a little piece of something caught in there
Hi,
Thank you for choosing Fixya.com.
please reset your setting and select deafult to turn back normal the settings and re start your fax.
try it first and let me know if any changes happen.
Off the printer then keep pressed stop /reset and on the printer.hold the on off button now and release the stop /reset button. then just press stop reset button twice and release all the buttons.this will solve the problem.
Just remove the cable connecting to usb port and printer .
Place the cable once again and insert the paper through the printer and try to take fax report .
