This issue can be caused by several different reasons.

  • First, verify the tab protecting the ink from dispersing is not still on the cartridge.
  • Verify the the ink cartridges have been inserted properly.
  • If a lever has been changed from its original position allowing the ink cartridges to be added or removed, ensure it is back into its original position.
  • Perform a head cleaning on printer if available.
  • Verify no software errors are occurring abd print a test page.
  • If you are installing non manufacturer authorized ink, attempt to use the manufacturer's ink instead.
  • If any indication lights are flashing or are different, refer to your printer documentation or printer manufacturer's web page for additional information on what the lights are indicating.

SOURCE: printer goes through motion of printing but no ink

fir make sure you have loaded the ink cartridges correctly by removing the tape on the top and make sure it snaps in place. Once you have ensured that there is ink and properly seated. perform a nozzle test and check the colors, you should follow the instructions on the screen. if it still doesn't print correctly or at all I would then do a cleaning of the print heads. and then do another nozzle test if still not correct, then do a deep cleaning and another nozzle test. if after all of those things are completed and you still cannot print, then call manufacturer of printer and see about your services and or options.

SOURCE: Black ink not printing

Clean heads, clean heads, clean heads, etc. Then do the test print to see if the heads are open. I had similar problem with an Epson, had to clean the heads often, finally got to where the heads wouldn't clean so threw it away and bought another one (HP this time, the heads are included in the ink carts, haven't had to clean the heads at all.)

The black cartridge leaves blank lines while printing

This usually really means that you have clogged ink inside the delivery tube for the black ink flow to the inkjets. VERY Hard to repair, but since you still have ink flowing, switch to blk ink printing such as lots of text, and keep printing it out to see if it will clear out the dried ink in the micro tips. You can't change out the printer roller in this unit. I know, that frustrates me too! This may take a bit of time to do!! Also make sure your printer blk is up to date with new computer 'read' tabs, if not it can create read problems in the system. If you refill inks at a store, which of course is cheaper, make sure they also install the reader tab on the ink block.
Hope this helps!

It is notprinting black ink. The ink cartridge is nearly full i have cleaned nozzles, no help.

try another catrige, check if anything stuck in nozzles, use proper catrige, the number of your originle catrige and current should be same, but for sure the problem with either with your catrige or the place where you fix you catrige.

I refilled my lexmark catrige, now the printer says the catrige is empty. how do i get it printing doug

Howdy Doug! If you filled the ink yourself, a common issue is the initial flow well. Take a cotton ball or Q-tip and dab a SMALL amount of alcohol, almost ANY would be ok for this, and wipe the ink cartridge and also the port for the ink to flow into the printer. This will release any sticky residue you might have built up, also great for just routine maintenance..... PLEASE let me know if this does not work, we can dig further if needed! pleasure to assist today, take care.... Guy :)

Ink is not showing up when I print but the cartridges are full

Hello there!

Did you used that catriges before and refilled them now?
IF you done that, somethimes ends of catriges(their holes) can be stucked with jonized colour and they can close the path of your catridge ink to your paper. You need to do regular cleaning, take a bit of alcohol, make it be about 20% alcohol 80% water, put on a little peace of rubber, clean your catridge "lenses" and try again on your Printer.

If this is not working then concider that your catriges maybe are out of ink.

Sincerely
Aleksandar Adzic

Printer dont print black

You might not have cleared the clog out enough, you might not be able to fix that issue. Have you tried a Clean and wick?

Not printing

Have you checked if your cartridge protective tape is removed. There is this transparent tape in your ink cartridge contact area especially for HP printers, you need to remove it so you can print.

It would be helpful if you put in the actual unit with your question...

Canon Smart base MPC 400 Printer

This printer needs these cartridges: -

1. (BCI-3eB) Black Ink Cartridge,
2. (BCI-3eC) Cyan Ink Cartridge
3. (BCI-3eM) Magenta Ink Cartridge
4. (BCI-3eY) Yellow Ink Cartridge

I think you need to clean your cartridge connectors with alchohol and retry.
