Fir make sure you have loaded the ink cartridges correctly by removing the tape on the top and make sure it snaps in place. Once you have ensured that there is ink and properly seated. perform a nozzle test and check the colors, you should follow the instructions on the screen. if it still doesn't print correctly or at all I would then do a cleaning of the print heads. and then do another nozzle test if still not correct, then do a deep cleaning and another nozzle test. if after all of those things are completed and you still cannot print, then call manufacturer of printer and see about your services and or options.

I cannot print after install the driver

After installing the printer driver did you do a test print?
If it did not do a test print then either the wrong printer driver was installed or the printer cable is not connected properly or the ink cartridges was not installed properly. New ink cartridges need to have the air hole protection stickers removed.

My printer goes through the motion of printing but the paper comes out blank. I've an hp deskjet d2360 and there is ink in it

Possibility cartridge print head dry.

Solution 1:
Do a clean process
cartridge automatically. Press START - Control Panel - Printers and Faxes - HP Deskjet d2360 right click and select Printing Preferences - Select the Color tab - select Printer Services - select Clean cartridge, wait for the cleaning process is completed - Perform Test print. If the print test results, has good graphics, press Finish. If the graph is not clear or drop out, repeat the cleaning process once again.

Solution 2:
1. Open the cover printer, cartridges will move to the middle position.
2. Remove the cartridge (be careful, do not touch the element cartridges or print head by hand), then stick the tip cartridge (print head) to clean water
3. Then, attach the print head to a tissue paper. If there is a tissue paper used in ink (black cartridges, black block lines, and color cartridges, three color red yellow blue lines), means the flow of ink to the print head is normal. If the
tissue paper no trace of ink, attach back into the water, repeat the above process.
4. After process is complete no.3, clean the cartridges with a tissue paper (careful, do not touch the element cartridges or print head by hand, because it will damage the cartridge). After cartridge clear of the water, insert the cartridges into printer.

Will not print even thought there are 2 new cartridges. Goes throught the motion but does not print. It is a 550 Deskjet

Like the above poster said. Clean your print head and check your ink if they are installed properly. If everything still fails. You can always try to hard reset your printer.

Will not print on paper

if the cartridges were out of the printer for any length of time the ink has dried up on the print heads. you most likely will have to replace the ink cartridges. then allign again before it will print correctly

When we do a fax test, we get clear print; when we try to print documents nothing appears, altho it goes thru all the right sound motions

Sounds like your colour cartridge is empty. Fax test will pull from black only but documents sometimes use a combination of colours in order to print out black. I suggest checking your ink levels - instructions for windows;

Check ink levels
NOTE: If you have installed a refilled or remanufactured print cartridge, or a cartridge that has been used in another printer, the ink level indicator will be inaccurate or unavailable.
  1. Open the Printer Toolbox . There are two ways to do this:
    • Open HP Director , select the Settings menu, then the Print Settings submenu, and finally the Printer Toolbox .
    • Open Printers and Faxes in the Windows Control Panel , then right-click your printer icon and choose Properties . Click Printing Preferences . Click the Services tab, then the Service This Device icon.
  2. The Printer Toolbox opens. Click the Estimated Ink Level tab. A cartridge may be running out of ink even if the graphic shows ink remaining (see the note at the start of this section). Lines or streaks always appear in printouts when the cartridges begin to run out of ink. Replace print cartridges that are out of ink or low Check ink levels

I replaced some empty ink cartridges and now the printer does not print at all. goes through the motions of printing, but nothing.

Did you get the inks from the printers' authorised distributors?, Did you touch the gold electronic prints on the ink cartridge? Did the ink cartridge site in properly in it seating?

Get the ink from authorised reseller, re-sit the ink cartridges and let the key into the seating properly.
