I found out it was my bulb and my tv has an auto shut off feature i replaced the bulb and its like new

My 50 inch hitachi hd projection tv picture won't


This T.V. more than likely has a bad lamp. I don't know the model number so look up on ebay for a lamp replacement by model number after you inspect it and find it to look cloudy or exploded.

I have a philips 60 inch tv with on picture and sound


There are two common problems with Projection TV sets. Problem #1) Convergence Symptoms:
  • Screen Looks 3D
  • Colors wont align
  • Video may look distorted
Problem #2 CRT Fluid has clouded over. Symtoms
  • Dull looking video
  • White looking video
  • Halos around objects
  • Red/Orange looking video

Your TV is overheating.. easiest remedy is to point a fan at the back of the TV or... clean the inside of the TV, Im sure its full of dust and stuff... this prevents air circulation inside the TV thus creating more heat...

sounds like your dmd module. its the part of your optical block that processes the images that make up what is projected on your screen.. without a model # i can't tell you the part #

Check your cables and TV input settings.  Can you get to the on screen menu?  Does anything appear on the screen when the tv is on?

Crackling Sound

i have this kind of tv1.gif model ru-52sz30 and same problem which i fixed by replacing the bulb. there is an access door at the back of tv that you can replace the bulb. if you need more help just post reply again.
