The company I work for has several HP 4650 color laserjet printers. The main problem has been magenta toner spills. We use HP original toner cartridges. Is there a issue with this model ? We have some HP 4700 color printers, we have no issues with them. Also the fusers seem to freeze up on the hp 4600 printers

Did you replace with an orginal HP cartridge or a reman. Either way, it sounds like the chip that tracks toner usage is bad on the cartridge. If original HP, contact HP and get them to repalce it. If remanufactured cartridge, contact the people that refilled the cartridge.
Unfortunately laser printers don't work this way. The laserjet 1022 was designed for black and white prints only. In order to do color printing with a laser printer you will need to purchase one that is designed to print in color. The laser printers work a bit differently than the inkjets - the laser printers have 4 toner cartridges, one each for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black, that work together to print a full color page. With the old inkjets you could just replace a black cartridge with a color one.
So, short answer: Sorry but no you can't make a laserjet 1022 print in color. :)
Daily maintenance is not needed. In your case you need to vacuum out the printer and get rid of that magenta cartridge. Do not put it back in the printer. If you do, you will be needing maintenance, the expensive kind...replacing parts. Make sure that you are buying HP cartridges.
Known problem with this machine the fan is located next to the magenta laser scanner at the base of the machine. this fan blows dust on to the scanner lenses and makes the prints light. Needs to be taken apart and cleaned. take it to a local service center if they know what they are doing should be less then an hour.
chnge the magenta toner scaner ok ........after that is working but ...do not any idea about this just call me :+91-09328015664

Just had almost exactly the same issue - except the Magenta was printing 2mm below where it should have been.
Went through all the recalibration menus multiple times and the factory restore etc. Then wondered about the toner cartridge. If the problem is just with the Magenta, maybe this is where the issue lies. The printer had remanufactured toners in it - all the others were fine. Went and found a new HP original magenta toner - printer did its default recalibration on startup and the config test page came out like new. Put the old one back in and problem reappeared.
Strongly suggest you try another toner cartridge - as I suspect the chip is to blame in some way.
There is not clean cartrige button.
If you want you can try to remove the cartridge and clean it with a paper towel, and see if that helps get you to 300 more sheets, if not I would replace it.
