The code is caused by a water sensor. You can temporarily just dump about a half gallon of water into the tub before adding the clothes, and then have another half gallon for mid cycle. This stops the code from popping up. Try the half gallon thing and you will see.

I would try to run a few loads of towels with just water (no detergent or anything) to try and flush out any excess detergent residue you may have. I don't know if you are able to set your own water level on this machine, but if you are, I would just run an empty load or two.

Hope this helps...

Is there a result for a Maytag Brovos machine. See e question but no answer

What are the machine's symptoms? what is it not doing that it should be or what is it doing that it shouldn't be? This is a forum of sorts where you enter a question then someone with the proper skills or knowledge will answer you but we need enough information to know exactly what the problem is as well as what machine we are working on. The Magtag Brovos is the "model name" and covers several machines but "possibly" inside the door or on the back are a series of numbers that will be needed. The "Model number" should look something like:

Why is maytag not doing something about this issue. I'm having the same issue with a 2 1/2 year old washer. I'm not going to fix it or buy another maytag. I'm going fisher paykel. My last one lasted 22 years.

The f1 code on the Maytag Bravos top loading washer keeps going off and stopping the machine

Please contact Maytag to inquire about the code F1. They should check the system and that that code is a courtesy repair and should be scheduled for a someone to come out to fix it. FREE
It is possible that the F1 code was caused by your laundry habits (detergent), but I think that is unlikely. Too many of these machines have problems with the F1 error code. There is a known problem with the Oasis / Cabrio / Bravos machines.

F1 Error Code on MayTag range

migs, on a Maytag the F1 indicates there is a problem with the touch-pad or control itself. Usually, it's the touch pad. Try killing the power to the range and remove the touch pad ribbon from the control board. Clean it with an eraser. Power back up and see if the error comes back. If it does, remove the ribbon cable again and power up with-out it attached. If the same error still returns, then I would suspect the control board itself. Catriver..post back.
