My freezer door was left open for possibly a full day. The temp is at 24, and most food is thawing out. I attempted the quick freeze, but it hasn't worked. Any suggestions?

If food is thawed DO NOT re-freeze it. Figure out which things you can refrigerate and use soon. If there is more than you can use, give some away to someone who can.

Had a joint left over from party can i freeze it

Anything can be preserved by freezing but not everything is suitable for freezing because either the consistency of the food is destroyed or drastically changed by the freezing/thawing process or because the thawed food will not tolerate the thorough reheating that will be required to make it safe to eat.

Cooked, chilled foods that are perfectly fresh can be frozen and eaten after thawing with a fair degree of safety and such things as strawberries can be frozen even though they become a sort pulp after thawing.

Personally, I don't eat much from the freezer that hasn't been thoroughly heated/cooked right through...

Metalfrio prep table freezing evapoator

Check that all vent areas are clear of any dust or food packaging. If you have ice build up it needs to be thawed out also because it will only continue freezing until it gets proper airflow.

FREEZER WILL DEFROST AND THAW OUT FOOD. THEN WILL START FREEZING AGAIN IN A COUPLE OF DAYS. THIS HAS HAPPEN 3-4 TIMES IN LAST 6-8 MONTHS. WHAT COULD BE PROBLEM?

seal around freezer door may be warped/old/cracked... or thermostat is not working properly.

Try duct taping door as tightly shut as possible and check around the time it freezes to see if that fixes the problem. If so, the seal (that has magnets so it will seal completely) needs to be replaced.

If that doesn't fix the problem, it could be a faulty thermostat in the freezer.

Frezeer was unpluged by accident. All mear thawed out. Is it ok to refrzeethe meat and eat it later.

Is it safe to refreeze food that has thawed completely?
Once food is thawed in the refrigerator, it is safe to refreeze it without cooking,
although there may be a loss of quality due to the moisture lost through defrosting. After cooking raw foods which were previously frozen, it is safe to freeze the cooked foods. And if previously cooked foods are thawed in the refrigerator, you may refreeze the unused portion.

If you purchase previously frozen meat, poultry or fish at a retail store, you can refreeze if it has been handled properly.

Keep a refrigerator/freezer in garage. The

Good day,
Yes. Domestic appliances will not work properly below approx 55 degrees.
The freezer suffers most simply because the machine runs rarely at 55 degrees and degrades as the temp goes lower.
They are designed to balance properly when in an environment where people live. Ideally 70 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
The machine is not broken.
Moving it inside, is the only solution.

Thaw's. Turn-off for period of time it would freeze as normal

Make sure nothing is inhibiting air flow. I don't think it is advisable to store food in an ice machine however that is not likely the problem unless the food itself is inhibiting air flow. Most ice machine manufacturers recommend against storing any food in an ice machine. If there is a freezer component in you model the check to see if the evaporator coils are frosting up and the frost is blocking airflow causing the ice storage chamber to get warm. High humidity can cause frosting. Leaving a door to the ice maker open too long can cause frosting. A low refrigerant charge can do this although it seems logically like it should not. With a very slightly low charge one end of the evaporator gets super cold and the other end is not cold enough. Frosts starts collecting on the super cold end and accumulates across the evaporator coil to the other end eventually blocking all air flow. With too much humidity from open doors frost accumulates over the entire evaporator evenly but still blocks. You shut the unit down. It thaws out and works OK on restart until frost again builds up. If its not a frosting problem but it just stops making ice then the ice may not be releasing. Check the water supply and change any filters to insure good water flow. A good water supply is required for proper release and harvest of the ice in many ice machines. If the ice doesn't release it takes a shut down and thaw to clear the suspended ice out. Check for these things and write back if you need further assistance and can provide me with more details.
