check this link is from Hp resolution center. i think this will solve your problem. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00718451&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=443024&tmp_track_link=ot_search
This means there's a failure in your printer's pump motor.
If you are still under warranty, contact HP's Customer Service here : http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/wwcontact_us.html
If not, you can try your local computer store for a check-up but they'll probably suggest a new printer.
Hope this helped.

Try this I have had machine similar apart
On the left hand side (Facing the printer) behind side cover sits a micro pump for the ink. Pull cover and check that belt is OK from gear to micro pump. You should be able to just turn back and forth- not too much, the large pulley on the pump. There will be some friction here..... I think you can turn on machine OK with this cover off and see if pulley is turning
I had the same issue with my Photosmart so I checked the HP web site and they said that some cartridges (including HP02) expire but you can override. Try opening the top of the printer and undoing the cartridge latch. Then relatch it and close the top. Worked for me (at least for now)
