Question about Epson WorkForce WF-4630 Wireless Color All-in-One Inkjet Printer
The only thing it tells me is to turn on and off the printer, and when I do it continues printing, either print 3/4 of a page or doesn't print anything at all before giving me the error message again.

I am on my second printer with the error. Epson explained it is a motherboard failure. The error is not caused by a PC or the software on it. Instead, this is a printer hardware failure.
After exchanging the printer, the replacement printer has now dies from the same error. The problem starts as blurry printing and progresses to the full hardware failure. Once the Hardware fails and you get the error code, there is nothing an end user can do. The motherboard needs to be replaced.
My printers were working fine up until I swapped out the factory cartridges that shipped with the printer. In both of my cases, there were no issues or symptoms until I started using the Epson XL cartridges. As soon as I installed those, the symptoms started to show. Within a couple of months after swapping in the XL cartridges, the motherboard dies.
1) Call Epson and complain, make them log the details even if it is out of warranty. This helps establish the pattern and knowledge of the issue.
2) Swap printer if under warranty. They may want a credit card to charge in case they do not receive the bad printer back. Just resend it in the box the replacement came in. Epson supplies shipping labels and covers the shipping costs.

Thank you, Anjazmoro Wicaksono, you solved my problem, it was too much wet ink in the cleaning pad inside the printer. Before cleaning it I've returned the printer at an authorized repair center that substituted the print head, completely free. That wasn't the problem. In two months the pad had the same problem, and the printer displayed the same generic error. Thank you again, it was so simple, no driver issue, no real hardware failure, only a wet tissue to clean the pad.

EPSON WF 4630 Error Code 0X97
Printer only prints top third of page and same thing occurs when trying to make a copy.
EPSON Customer Support states this is a Hardware Failure and you need a new printer. If your printer is out of warrantee (1 year in most cases) all EPSON offers is to email you a coupon towards buying a new printer through their Customer Loyalty Program.
Unlike previous posting, this has nothing to do with a virus and I would caution against downloading the links that those posts offer to fix the problem as they are most likely malware.

I own this piece of junk, and it is a motherboard issue according to the incompetent fools in many other countries that i was bounced around to. first I couldn't understand anything they were saying and second wouldn't shut up long enough for me to actually explain the issue.
When I finally got someone in the USA they were of absolutely no help my printer is out of warranty so they didn't care anymore,but they were really wanting me to go to their customer loyalty site and buy another printer. apparently they think we are pretty Ignorant and we would just jump at the opportunity to spend good money on another pile of Garbage that they will not stand behind and would not even offer to help fix or do anything to make a customer happy. I would not have an issue if I had worn my printer out but it has less than 400 prints on it and is still on the factory cartridges no excuse for it at all.
STAY AWAY FROM EPSON THEY ARE A LOUSY COMPANY as for me I will NEVER as long I live own anything they make or have their name associated with they just lost a customer for life.
And if asked I will NEVER say anything good about them.

My Answer is DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER!! My printer started giving me this error and when I called Epson they said because my printer is out of warranty they wouldn't replace it. I have had this printer for a year and a half and it's rarely used, in fact I just replaced the ink for the first time. So not only am I out a printer but I am out the $100 for the new ink! I would think that a printer should last longer than the ink cartridge and I think that Epson should stand by their products if this is a know problem.

The problem is waste ink around head sprayer (at (bottom plate of head). Turn of printer. Move head to center. Put wet tissue (with hot water) at head cleaning mechanic pad. Move head to parking position. wait till 10 minutes. check it. You can repeat 3 times.

Try to run the ink pad reset utility software.

My printer appeard "PRINTER ERROR SEE YOUR DOCUMENTATION" on the printer's panel, I turn the printer off an then put it ON but still the message is coming again. So I cannot printer or do anything. How can we solve fix this problem?

Please follow the steps below to reset the protection counter effectively.
If you have any anti virus software, please deactivate first.
The resetter software (adjprog.exe) requires specific date to run and your anti virus will prevent that.
Make sure you printer is ON and connected to your computer.
Run "Start.bat" file.
This program will set your computer date to 12 Jan 2006.
Click "Accept" button.
Click "Particular adjustment mode" button.
Select on "Waste ink pad counter" and click "OK" button.
Click on "Initialization" button and the program will reset the protection counter.
Click "Finish" button.
Change your computer's date back when it prompted.
Reactivate your anti virus if any.
