Try to check the Print Cartridges if they still have ink in them. or try to do a Semi-Full Reset.
combo would be:
- "print photo" + "red eye removal" buttons pressed together
- printer will not ask you to enter the combo
- release the buttons you pressed then
- press "red eye", "print photo", "red eye" in sequence
- scroll down or right until you find resets menu
- press ok
- scroll down or right until you find semi-full reset
- press ok
- your printer should turn off, wait for 3 minutes before turning the printer back on
the cartridge print heat element is shorted, have fixed dozens of these with the same message, it is always the cartridge, this is also very common on carts that have been refilled more than 3 times,the grid wears out and shorts and that pops the message u see.

Please press the set up menu on th eprinter which is like a tool(wrench)-----Arrow keys-----TOOLS-----OK-----Arrow Keys------Clear Fax Log------OK.
This will clear the fax log.
If still the issue persists, please follow the below steps. 1. Touch the Setup icon. 2. Scroll to and touch Tools. 3. Scroll to and touch Restore Factory Defaults. A Defaults Restored message displays. 4. Press the Cancel button to return to the main menu.
And then, again cleasr the fax log by following the below steps. Please press the set up menu on th eprinter which is like a tool(wrench)-----Arrow keys-----TOOLS-----OK-----Arrow Keys------Clear Fax Log------OK. This will fix the issue.
tru turning th eprinter off an dunpluggin for 30 seconds. If this does not work, replace both cartridges. May alos need to clean the printer itself. Go to printer website fo rtips on cleaning the printer
Forgive me for asking, but are you sure you removed the protective tape on the bottom corner of the cartridge?
You might want to print a diagnostic test print. With th eprinter on, press and hold the power button and hit the (X) cancel button, then release both buttons.
