Posted on Aug 14, 2008

Intuos pen I have a intuos2 graphics tablet that is a few years old but works great.  My old pen is falling apart so I got a new one...the intuos pen GP300E.  It won't work...do I have to install a driver or software?  No directions came with this thing...I thought I could just start using it...  thanks for any help...

trying to use the Intuos3 pen on an Intuos2 tablet. I don't think the new driver works for this. But the tablet light turns green, so I know it registers.

Does the Wacom Intuos2 Classic Pen (xp 300e) work with the Wacom Bamboo CTL 470 tablet?

From what I read on Wacom's site, they are NOT compatible.
The Bamboo use a stylus that is different than the nib pens that the Intuos use. The stylus for the Bamboo is more like the stylus you can purchase for smart phones. The Intuos pens are pressure sensitive and have different nibs you can use for different effects and feel. You can go to their website and look for compatible pens and stylus' for your specific tablet.

Pen thinks it's pressed down when it's not.

Try hitting the pen head into your hand 5 times. Do the same with the eraser ( do it pretty hard but not too hard. I hurt my hand with the pen tip a LITTLE so you can gauge it by that). The humidity in the air causes the pen pressure to stick apparently. I had the same problem and this made it work. You should try and clean it too but if you don't want to take the pen apart this is the way to go. i hope this helps.

The mouse on my Wacom Intuos tablet is not working.

I know this question was asked a long time ago, but I just had this similar problem and found a solution to it.

1. Install the latest Wacom drivers for your device
2. Open the Wacom Tablet Properties from the Start menu.
3. Click on the Mouse tool
4. Click on the Mapping tab halfway down the screen
5. Change the mode from Mouse to Pen

My Wacom Intuos3 tablet won't switch into pen mode

I had the same problem with my Intuos3 on Vista. Tech support suggested the following.

Do this.....Go to Start--->control panel---->system(in classic view)---->device manager--->click on "human interface devices"--->then click on "Wacom virtual HID driver" and right click on that and disable it. Your computer will ask you to restart and you will want to do that.

Everything works fine now.

Sometimes the grip pen get stucked because of dust or dirt, or the tip needs to be replaced. Clean the tip chamber or use a new one.
