Hello,
if the copier was long time without toner, you need to open and close the front cover few times until it stops blinking.
If these doesn't helps, you need to vacuum and clean the toner handle mechanism, because there are toner leftovers that obstructs the new toner pass to developing assy.

Hope that helps!

Sharp code f2-64

Hi,
The code refers to the black toner supply fault. This is usually caused by the toner compacting in the toner cartridge. There have been a couple of instances where the plastic strip remains when the cartridge is replaced. If this isn't the case then the solution is to remove the black toner cartridge & gently but firmly tapping the toner cartridge to break up the compacted toner. Re-installing the cartridge & turning the machine off & then on should reset the error code. If the code remains it may also indicate a faulty toner cartridge & this can be proven by replacing the black toner cartridge with another one. If, after replacing the toner cartridge with a replacement, the code re-occurs then this could indicate damaged toner supply gears which would require a technician to verify, but the most common cause tends to be the toner cartridge is at fault.
Hope this helps.
Dave.

BROTHER DCP7055 PRINTER SHOWS REPLACE TONER EROR

When replacing the toner cartridge, you MUST install a brand new, unused genuine Brother toner cartridge in order to reset the toner status. Swapping toner cartridges from one machine to another or installing a partially used toner cartridge may cause this problem. Brother machines control their image quality for the most suitable print quality by monitoring toner consumption. If you install a partially used toner cartridge, your Brother machine is unable to recognize toner consumption correctly which will cause this problem. Therefore, when you replace the toner cartridge, please use a brand new toner cartridge, not a partially used toner cartridge from another machine.

Reset printer

The toner cartridges for the 8026 have a chip on them which count the amount of toner being dispensed from the toner cartridge.
When the printer counts the amount of toner being dispatched from the cartridge has exceeded the amount of "usable" toner in the cartridge, the printer will display the error showing the toner cartridge needs to be replaced.
Crucial the printer also "writes" to the chip on the toner cartridge to say it is empty----You can no longer use this cartridge by simply refilling it.

You need to replace the toner cartridge on the printer with a Genuine New 8026 toner, this should then clear the error automatically and the printer will again spring back to life.

If you are using a new toner you may;

  1. Have a faulty replacement toner
  2. Have a blockage in the pipe which takes the toner from the toner cartridge to the drum unit
  3. Have a fault with the toner dispense motor
