I have a Saeco Magic de luxe Espresso. When I put my cups on the warming pad when the machine is on standby, that is, when it is on but not actively in use - the cups don't really get warm. The pad is not very hot. What may be the problem or is there something I don't know.

Press and hold the coffee button the entire time until the cup gets to the length that you prefer, then let go. That will program the cup to that length.
The magic delux has only one boiler so if you are getting hot water and steam, then it could be that the cup used to brew into is taking the heat from your espresso, trly warming up the cup before brewing into.
Hi
I would try to reprogram the button. Push and hold the button. Keep it held down while it is grinding. Don't release the button until you have the desired amount in your cup for that button. When you do, Then release the button. See if that doesn't clear the problem.
I believe the model you have has no user-selectable temperature settings. The manual for the Magic line suggests preheating the cups as the fix. You can use the electronic cup warner OR run your tap/faucet water as hot as possible, fill the cup you're going to be dispensing espresso into with hot water while your Saeco warms up...right before you hit the button to dispense espresso, empty the hot water, dry the preheated cup and you're set! It only takes a few seconds. This way, you waste none of your coffee's thermal emergy on cup heating and your coffee will stay hot longer. Hope this helps!
I don't know what you mean by disarming the grinder. Unless you are talking about using the bypass.
If that is the case there is a button on the panel that has waht looks like a scoop. Push that button and put a scoop in the bypass door and then push the button for what cup size you whant.
Regarding the taste of the coffee. It may need a cleaning and service. Try googling "saeco repair" and find an authroized Saeco repair center and have a good service done on it.
