Had a screw fall out next to the ball on a dc25. In the process of taking things apart to get the screw back in , a spring fell out and I do not know where it goes. I'm guess it has something to do with the red foot lever as when you go to stand it up , it doesn't lock. It's not the bigger spring - it's smaller with a 90* bend on one end and the other is bent slightly. I'm at a loss.....

SOURCE: Hi, pressing the big red foot button on the dc25

sounds like the ball cradle is worn out, the springs are too stretched to pull the handle release pedal back into place. you can do one of two things, replace the cradle assy, or just lift the red pedal up when you raise the handle

SOURCE: the ball on the dc25

    Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC25. Your cleaner is equipped with a safety device which shuts off the brushbar if it gets tangled with a rug fringe, shoelace etc. After making sure the brushbar is free of threads, hair or other obstructions, you'll be able to reset the cleaner and get the brushbar running again. The easiest way to do this is to follow the steps shown in our guide:

    http://www.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=1156&product=DC25-ALLFLOORS

Please note, the brushbar will never rotate when the cleaner is standing in the upright position, or if you've turned it off using the silver brush control switch located next to the red on/off switch.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve your issue without further assistance. However, if you've tried this and are still concerned, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US). One of our experts will be happy to run through some troubleshooting over the phone with you recommend the best course of action.

    Kind regards,

    Jack

How to remove ball from Dyson dc 25 Animal ?

Remove the torx screws that hold the two halves of the ball shell assembly together, then the ball halves can be separated and removed from the vacuum. Take note of how they come apart and how they line up su you can reassemble them properly.
