Check what is in your print queue before printing. If a document fails to print completely it may remain in the print queue even if you turn the laptop off.

Loaded print brand new black/yellow and cyan/magenta print heads and printer and HP Easy Care say I need to load cyan/magenta print head.

This issues looking printer head problem. check the following Steps for cleaning printer head :

  • Click on the Start button if you have Windows XP. If you have Windows Vista, click the Windows icon that resides in the lower left corner of your computer screen.
  • Click on "Control Panel," then "Printers and Other Hardware." Finally click on "View Installed Printers or Fax Printers."
  • Right-click on the name of your printer and choose "Printing Preferences." This should open a new window; next look for a tab or button marked Maintenance, or something similar.
  • Find the button that says "Print heads" or "Clean the Print heads" and click on it. You may be asked to choose which print heads; choose them all if you are. Make sure there is paper and ink in your printer, and that it is turned on ahead of time.
  • Take out the page your printer has printed and see if there are any grids or boxes missing. If there aren't, then you can just exit the program--your print heads are not clogged. If there are grids missing, then click on the "Cleaning" or similarly worded button.
  • Once the cleaning process has completed, print another page to be sure that your print heads are no longer clogged. If they are still clogged, repeat Steps 1-5 until your printer is printing clearly.

Printer was working two weeks ago now i try to print it would not cut on

Hi,

Make sure the printer is plugged in and turned on.

Make sure that printer is set to default.
go to control panel - click printers - make sure it has a right mark on it - if it doesnt, right click printer icon and choose set as default.

If it doesnt work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver.

You can uninstall the driver using the printer driver disk or from add/remove programs.

Hope it helps !

Thanks.

Can't print a complete print job without problems

There may just be some type of configuration issue going on if you don't have a drive installed in this printer. If there is no drive installed the printer drivers may be functioning as if there's one present which results in this error. I'm providing you with a few possible solutions as it is more difficult to pinpoint an issue when you don't have access to the device.

If it is a configuration issue you can try these steps:

1. Mopier mode should be disabled.
Right-click printer then click properties.
You should find a device settings tab...scroll down to mopier
mode and make sure it's disabled.

2. Printer Hard Disk should be disabled.
Right-click printer then click properties.
Go to the Device Settings tab...scroll down to Printer Hard Disk
and make sure it's disabled.

3. If you had to disable one or both features then the very last thing that you want to do is try printing a multiple page document to see if this worked.

If you check these two settings and find that both the mopier mode and printer hard disk are disabled then you can try this:

Click this sentence to follow the link to HP's driver and software page for the 4600 series printers. Find your operating system in the list and click on it. This will bring you to the page with drivers, firmware, and additional software provided for your printer type. Try downloading the drivers (unless you have the installation CD) and reinstalling the printer. Also, make sure that you have the latest Service Pack installed for your operating system. If you're using Windows XP then the latest Service Pack is 3.

Hope this helps. I work with HP printers and sometimes I have to try more than one solution before I find the right fix.

On the bottom right of the screen you should see a printer icon. Click on it and it will open the driver queue. Click on the job that is not printing and then delete or cancel the print job.

NUMBER OF COPIES

If you cannot print more than 1 copy, click on...

Start -> Control Panel -> Printers -> Right click on HP 1320 printer icon -> Properties -> Device settings -> Disable mopier mode (last option)

This worked for an HP 1300, 1320 and as well as an HP P2015d using the HP 1320 driver.

There are stripes through the whole page of what I'm printing

Hi, its the print heads are clogged up, couple of things to try, head cleaning would be the first option, right click on your printer status program ie on the bottom right of the screen the small icon, and you should find maintenance or head cleaning, try doing this a few times, print something out see if any change, if still no success, change the ink cartridge, if still no success last try would be http://www.supermediastore.com/cleaning-cartridge.html its a head cleaning cartridge to try and clean the blocked print head, if none of the above work you would be better replacing the printer as epson charges £75 + vat to repair any printer, the last time i tried to buy print heads at trade they were about £48+vat & delivery and is really a nightmare to fit with epson, most new epson printers seem to only last about 15 months on average but its the amount of money you can save through using compatible ink, as we only sell epson printers ourselfs and this happens with 99% of returned printers..

Happy New Year

Printer not printing

Try unplugging it or pulling the power brick out of the back, wait a few seconds, plug it back in, and then turn it on. It might have something stuck in its memory.
