I have a problem in my 450 copier it's give me a gray or soft copying ( the contrast is too bad ) when i make the ( 2207 ) from 107 program ( toner supply ) it's fixed. But it's return bad after 50 or 100 copying. i am changed the developer and the kind of toner and cheked the toner cycle. evrey thing is OK. but the broplem is still.can you help me.
Have you replaced the opc drum lately?? The toner density is looked at on the drum with the ATDC sensor. It seems like your tring to adjust the toner density. That is just a band-aid. try to replace the developer and if needed the opc and clean the drum unit and the ATDC sensor. You shouldn't have to readjust in the service mode.

the aficio 2045 is new version of the aficio 450. so on the 2045 if you have installed printer/scanner option you can scan directly to folder on your computer or you can scan and sent documents to email addresses ,also the print or copy is much more quality. you have a touch screen control panel. mainly the look is the same with some new design on the look, but also some staff which has bean detected as problem on the aficio 350 now are corrected and improved.
When developer goes bad you use more toner for one thing, but the main sign is a gray background in your copy. The print should be black but appears to be gray. The ricoh 350/450 was always noted to leak toner and developer as it runs. Check your machine and see if you see any small piles of toner, which also has developer in it, in the machine. Ther are small seals made of felt that need to be replaced if you have this problem. These seals rub against the drum sides....Good luck.
hi im jules_09,the average copy life as we call it is 60,000 copies after that you will replace the drum, cleaning blade and the developer.see first if the copy meter is already above 60,000 copies then about the print i think it time for you to replace all that is mentioned
average drum life is 1,20,000 copies .you may get more than that.use good quality spare and consumables(I will prefer the original Ricoh).Machine will not create much problems.
