Hi. Theres a flashing light on my adp4601. its the start light.i've taken off cover and checked for loose connections but it all seems to be fine. i've checked filters and pipe connections. could you shed some light on this problem please it would be very much appreciated.

Check its T'Con board's connection cables. If there is some loose contact to these connectors with sockets, this type of fault can occur. Check it first. Low battery charge, Battery Defective(Could have a bad cell), Loose or missing alternator drive belt, Faulty Alternator, Open or short system voltage circuit

Make sure your 12V grounds to engine and chassis are good.

Appears that you have a bad cap in the power supply that is changing value as it heats up. Hard to find - only thing you can do is go to suspected units and replace them hoping that you got the bad one. Or just wait till it finally pops.

it is obviously that the high temp and cooling issue has affected your cylinder head gasket replace the gasket and it will be fine and please check that the water pump is working by observing the water circulation through the radiator reservoir

Well, with my Nikon, the light flashes to show the battery is charging. It stays on when it's charged. My battery and spare battery are 2 years old and working fine. I'd say wait till it stops flashing...hour or 2 in my case, though I never let them run down all the way.

definitely sounds like the alternator has went bad to me, but check around the battery and firewall for loose wire connections.

from your comment,theres 3 things that can cause this,loose batt.post connection,weak batt.or something in elect. circuit that stays on after car is off and drains batt.,like underhood light,dome or truck light,what u can do is when u park car unhook batt. cable,make sure batt. is well charged,hook it up next day if car starts,its something that drains batt.in car! if it doesnt start,batt. needs replacing.i ruled out starter,dealer should have checked it to see if it was pulling too much amps,and that its easy to jump.
