HP P2015DN Prints in Landscape form

HP Laser P2015DN

When I print checks from the software that we use (Sage Platinum), they print out in landscape form instead of portrait. I\'ve tried changing the settings but it doesn\'t make any difference. They all print in landscape form.

I\'m guessing that it has something to do with the print drivers but I don\'t have a clue how to get the correct ones.

Any ideas?

Hi
sometimes just some of the printer drivers are with "bugs" like this one.
If you are using Win 7 or newer ver. please don't let the operation system to install drivers for this printer. Download drivers from www.hp.com and install it manual. Try different drivers. I'm sure that this will help to prevent "landscaping"HP P2015DN Prints in Landscape form - pocvnqve445ajvwaaaaasuvork5cyii=
Good luck.

Click landscape in print dialog box but only turns portrait sideways

Landscape is Portrait sideways :>D

Normally you have to tell the program (Quickbooks) to print Landscape and then you tell the Printer in Properties to print Landscape.

I just had the same in Publisher to a Canon MFP MG1720.

From the QuickBooks File menu, select Printer Setup. Click the Form Name drop-down and choose Report. Click the Options button next to the Printer name field to open your printer properties window. Go to the Finishing tab and in the Orientation section, select Portrait or Landscape.

Save QuickBooks Desktop PDF in legal size, landscape, or ...

Prints only part of landscape pages

SET THE PRINTER TO IT'S DEFAULT SETTINGS IF YOU CAN
If not I would unintal it , have a disk cleanup and a defrag then reinstall all software

Suddent my sharp arm 257 prints landscape, in wordperfect only. Other programs print properly in portrait. My HP prints ok in all programs.

Check how your printer is set up in wordperfect, it is a software setting problem not a printer problem. You may have to re-instalall wordperfect but I hope not.

My HP P2015DN only prints one page at a time. If I have a 5 page document, the first page prints and then I must print the go button for each page to print.

Is the paper feeding from the manual tray or tray 2. If you are printing from tray 2 and have this problem then it is likely that your driver or software is looking for different paper types than you have loaded in the printer. For example, if you have plain paper in tray 2 and your software wants to print on letterhead, then the printer will stop after each page and by pressing the button you are telling the printer that it is ok to print on different paper. If you have the paper in the manual feed tray (tray 1) then I would check to make sure you are telling the pirnter to print to tray 1 and not manual feed when you send a print job.

The printer keeps printing in landscape form even

This sounds like a software problem...

Try using the PCL5e driver instead.

Tally 6212 - Landscape Documents Printed Vertically

You do indeed have problem-- the printer is doing what you are telling it to do changing the print from Portrait to Landscape on a dot matrix printer has the same effect as that on a Laser printer, it rotates the print by 90 degrees.

The correct solution of to define a custom size of paper which is the same size as the paper you are printing on.
If you are using Windows 2000, XP, 2003 etc you can create a Custom Size paper in the following way;

  • Ensure you are logged in with administrtor rights
  • Open the Printers Folder
  • Go to the FILE DROP DOWN MENU
  • Select SERVER PROPERTIES
  • Ensure the FORMS tab is selected
  • Tick the CREATE FORM button
  • Enter a NAME for the form
  • Enter the dimensions (be careful of the units you are using --- best results use inches)
  • Do NOT set margins printable areas etc
  • Click on the SAVE button
One you have created the custom size form you should be able to select this by name in the printer driver properties and the software package you are using.

Samsung 4216f doesnt print landscape, Vista 64

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
