Page printing Hi. The only problem I have with my printer is that it doesn't seem to print a complete 4x6. It prints 1 1/2 to 2 inches below the top of the paper & above the bottom. I would like it to fill the entire 4x6 piece of paper. Any help you can give me I would appreciate. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate it. I just had one more question for you. Would you be able to tell me how I would tell if my pictures are 2:3 ratio?

    Thank you again!!!

If the dimensions of the picture your trying to print are not in a 2:3 ratio (same ratio as 4 x 6), it cannot fill the entire 4 x 6 area without distorting the image, i.e., you would have to "stretch" the dimension which has white margins right now to fill the paper. To print an undistorted borderless image, you will have to "crop" the picture so that the remaining dimensions are in a 2:3 ratio.

In most graphic editing programs like Photoshop, etc., there is an option to see what size your image is. It usually can be displayed in inches, centimeters, or pixels. If you divide the smaller dimension into the larger dimension, it will give you a ratio. If the image were exactly compatible with 4 x 6, the ratio would be 1.5 (3 divided by 2, or 6 divided by 4, equals 1.5).

If the ratio is larger than 1.5 you will have to trim/crop some from the long axis of the photo. If the ratio is less than 1.5 you will have to trim/crop from the shorter axis.

For instance, if the image is 3" x 4", the ratio is 1.33, and you will have to crop from the 3" axis.

When printing 4x6 recipe cards on the food network the cards print in very small type - it used to print normal size - then one day it started printing smaller ?? thanks alex

Try reseting the printers settings into defaults, its in the menu if your printer has a lcd screen that is.

also if that doesnt solve the problem some settings have been changed on the pc side, would need to figure out what exactly has changed or who has changed them.

Efforts to print 4x6 borderless print result in only top part of photo paper being used and top third of photo being cut off

First thing to try (and I'm assuming you're attempting to print a photo within HP Image Zone & have already selected the 4x6 photo tray? Hint: can be done via printer, properties, printing shortcuts) is to change the 'more options' directly below where you'd selected the 4x6 image size and then change to 'shrink to fit' vs. the default 'crop to fit'... Additional thoughts includes rotating the image (can be done directly on the preview screen...)

My 4x6 prints are not centered on paper

That printer can't print borderless on 4x6 photo paper, you should use A4 size paper, print and cut the pictures.

Because my Deskjet 932C wasn't printing at all, I downloaded a new driver for it from the HP site. Now it prints but prints only the top portion of a page -- sometimes about 1.5 inches, sometimes 3 inches,...

I would recommend uninstalling the installed driver from your system, disconnect the USB cable (if one is installed), reboot.

Once the system comes back up, turn off your anti-virus. Now install the printer driver again. Install the USB cable for the printer (if that's how you're connecting) and finish the install.

Re-enable your anti-virus.

Printing 4x6 photos on photo paper

Sorry but your question seems to be unclear.
Here are the solutions that I see:
- try fixing the orientation of your paper on the printer:
-- go to printer "properties" then select "paper" then set it to
landscape or portrait. You might just have to cut the extra
papers
- try changing the paper size on the printer "properties" if it has
no 4x6 then choose "custom size"
