You need to scan the test page in order for the printer to stop printing a test page every time you turn it on.

SOURCE: My printer keeps printing the test page every time it's switched on

I had the same problem and it was driving me crazy until I did this. Please follow exactly and IN ORDER.

1. Turn off the printer and wait 10 seconds. Turn it on again

2. Let the printer print the test page.

3. After the test page is printed, disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer to your computer. DO NOT turn off the printer while disconnecting the USB cable.

4. Place the test page on the scanner glass and press the SCAN button on the printer. The ON light will flash as the page is being scanned.

5. Remove the test page when the ON light is steady.

6. Finally, turn off the printer and wait another 10 seconds. Then turn it on again. No more printing test pages! Yay!

(You may now reconnect the printer to your computer via the USB cable.)

SOURCE: Printer prints test page each time printer is turned on

I had this same problem. I think sandrew's solution is nonsense. tomj23 suggested something which worked: If you look at the printed test page, it actually has instructions for what to do. Align it on the right side of the scanner window, and hit the Scan button. (I actually had to turn off my printer, turn it on again which printed another sheet, and then do this. I don't know why.) You won't have to do this every time you turn on printer, but I think you will have to do this every time you install new print cartridges.

SOURCE: printer prints a test page every time it is turned on.

Hi Sarat,
I suspect the alignment was never finished and it is trying to do the alignment. Alignment is done when one or more print cartridges are replaced. Try taking out the cartridges and re-nsert them. Wait for the alignment page to be printed (automatically). Then switch off and on again to see if the problem has gone away.

SOURCE: hp C3180 printer prints test page every time i turn it on

None of the solutions I read here helped until I found this solution and it worked:
I suspect the page is a calibration page. If so you need to allow it to print and then place it face down on the scanner bed and press the scan button, the printer will then complete the calibration and you should not have to do this again until the next time you replace a cartridge.
Note that if either cartridge is not printing correctly the calibration may fail so you need to have good working cartridges for the process to complete.

My hp c3150 prints a test page every time i turn it on

Do this. The next time it prints a test page, keep the same test page under the scanner and push the scan button on the c3150. This would complete the test cycle and it would not print test pages from the next time.

Test page prints each time it's turned on

Test pages are often printed by holding down one of the buttons on the printer. Make sure that none of the buttons are stuck. Look up in your printer manual which button is for test print and make sure it isn't stuck.

Unplug the printer and leave it for three minutes and then plug it back in. This will reboot it and it may cure the problem.

Keep printing test sheets

A lot of HP printers print a page to enable the print head alignment and calabration. This normally orcurs when a cartridge has been changed. If the alignment page fails then it will reprint alignment page until it can align.

So, you need to get that page it prints and place it on the glass and press scan, then it will complete alignment and be ready to rock.

HP Photosmart C3100 series BEWARE SPAM NUMBER 1-800-532-4187

I just got off the HP help line.  After changing my black ink cartridge a test page was printing each time I turned the machine on.  This is very costly, in both time and ink as the cartridges themselves for this machine hold very little ink.  I tried to learn from HP tech how to turn off the test-print while keeping my color cartridge empty.  It turns out that you cant do it.  HP requires you to keep buying and using cartridges whether you need them or not.If you buy the color ink it will use it up in its testings.  And if you dont buy the color cartridge it will use up your black ink by printing the test each time you turn on the printer.  The printer was inexpensive sure, but I'm paying for it in wasted ink.

Printer prints test page each time printer is turned on

There may be something initialised to print a test page everytime it starts, just remove printer, uninstall driver and re start. Re install drivers and connect printer when prompted or when installation has finished. This should revert to default settings.
