I have a Visioneer One Touch Flatbed Scanner that has never been used due to the loss of instructions when it was received. Recently I requested and purchased Visioneer Scanner Software Multi-Driver Version which I loaded on my HP Windows XP computer. And made the USB connection.
Although the computer recognizes the Scanner (the icon appears on the lower right tool bar) and the scanner lights up, when I scan an item, a notice appears on the computer saying "unlock the bottom of the scanner". The Scan Manager comes up if I click on the icon.
The problem is that there is no evident way to unlock the scanner. There are only two small holes, rectangular in shape on the left side of the bottom, front and rear. Inside these rectangular holes or openings there appears to be a metal rod. There are no buttons or other means of unlocking the scanner.
It is Model No.FU66BG; s/n 205c026878D1;P/N 85-0083-000. I would appreciate knowing how to solve this problem.
