Thank you ever so much for the above solution. My Visioneer could not work with my VISTA but now after I followed the above procedure I have managed to perform my first scan.

Installed driver but Windows 7 and Device Manger recognizes 42 bit USB scanner, but Window Fax and Scan does not see the devise.

Yes. If you don't have the drivers for windows 10. Go to support site, download then & install.

This appears to be two questions. "I have no disc" is solved by downloading the drivers from the Visioneer site.

Go to Visioneer product support site support.visioneer.com/ , enter your model number and search for installation drivers

look at downloaded driver is it exe extension . you need to run the driver program. If it is inf extension then you update the driver in device manager and select have disk.

From what I can tell from their website and the online user's manual for this scanner, it is not Vista compatible.
