I bought a zen having previosly owned a zen:m vision, so I know how the Creatives work - I think. Anyway, after charging my zen and playing one of the free tracks that come with the zen (BTW it came up on the screen that it was docked so there was no problem with the computer to zen), I went to load up my music. This time however, after I docked it, I removed it from its USB port, because I needed to use the flashdrive for work, and now it will not turn on. Any suggestions????
It is fully powered and I cannot think of any reason whyit will not turn on.
when i tried to play a song,my zen's screen became frozen, then i tried to stop the song but buttons were not working, after i tried to turn off, then it said it is shutting down and screen freeze again..buttons didn't work again..i left it open with the frozen screen and in the morning it was turned off but didn't turn on again, even i tried to charge it,computer didn't recognize and also the blue light wasn't on.now, what can i do?

My zen froze so I reset it. I then turned it on but the battery was low so I turned it off and connected it to the computer to charge the battery. Now I cannot turn it on. I notice that when I connect it to the computer, the screen flashes very faintly.

ive had my zen for about a year and befoe it "died" it was constantly freezing, so i reset it a lot. then one day after it was charged, i took it off and tried to turn it on. It turned on for a bit and then the blue light started fading.. and then it died. I couldnt turn it on, or reset it or charge it and the computer wont recognized it either.ive had my zen for about a year and befoe it "died" it was constantly freezing, so i reset it a lot. then one day after it was charged, i took it off and tried to turn it on. I had the same problem as your and it stopped working yesterday. After search for helps and now it is working again after I reloaded the firmware. But unfortunately everything is gone. You have to reload your musics again. You can try this out: 1) go to creative labs website to download the "Recovery Tool". 2) at Recovery Mode of your zen there are options: Clean Up, Format All, Reload Firmware, and Reboot. Try out Clean Up first if it still not working then try to Format All. After that try the Reload Firmware. After you done the Reload Firmware. 3) Shut down your Zen and try to connect it to your computer. Now your Zen will automaticlly power On and computer will recognize it as a drive. 4) Open the Recovery Tool you have downloaded at creative labs website. This tool will detect your Zen and follow it's instructions: It works with my windows Vista. Well, it works for me, I think it will work for your too. Good Luck!
May God bless.
I Dropped My Zen Vision M And Cracked The Screen And Bought A New One But Replaced The New ZVM's Hard Drive With My Old One And All I Had to Do Was Restart It For It To Recognize The New Hard Drive And If It Doesnt Recognize It All You Gotta Do Is Put A New One In And Download More Songs xD And If You Need A Disassembly Tutorial Heres A Good Site
If that doesn't fix it trythe USB cable Screen Doesn’t come on anymore http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18859 If your Zen V is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN trigger the reset button, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."
