Hi,

If you print to an IS networked printer the printer will automatically print on both sides of the paper (duplex). This saves paper but, because it is print toner which is the largest part of the cost, charges are the same as printing on two sheets of paper.
If you wish to print duplex to another printer (NB not all printers support duplex printing) you must:

Office 2007
  • Open your Office Document
  • Click on the Office button in the top left corner of the screen How do I print on both sides of the sheet? - officebutton.gif
  • Click Print and select one of the printers that will perform duplex printing
  • Click on the Properties button under the Layout tab
  • Choose either Flip on Long Edge or Flip on Short Edge and click on OK If your page is set up as Portrait
  • Choose Long Edge If your page is set up as Landscape
  • Choose Short Edge . Click on OK again to send your work to the printer
Other Applications
  • Go to File and Print
  • Select one of the printers that will perform duplex printing
  • Click on the Properties button under the Layout tab
  • Choose either Flip on Long Edge or Flip on Short Edge and click on OK If your page is set up as Portrait
  • Choose Long Edge if your page is set up as Landscape
  • Choose Short Edge . Click on OK again to send your work to the printer
Please post your feedback and Vote if the problem resolved as per your satisfaction.

Can I manually make a continuous 2 sided print on a mf3010?

First I would look at the pages in print preview, then see how much print you can get on page 1 - print current page,
after that sheet finishes printing, remove the page and turn
over for printing on the back side. Remember printers require you to insert the pages a certain way so you will
need to check that before printing the back side. Hope this helps.

Black dots/blotches on the sides of printed sheets - whats is the cause and how t to fix it

If you have random blotches on both sides of the sheet, your printer probably needs cleaning, especially in the fuser section. If the fuser is difficult to get at, here's a good cheat developed for HP LaserJet 6 printers: Use a basic graphics program such as Microsoft Paint to draw three solid black rectangles about 2.5" top to bottom, going all the way across the paper (the space in between is not critical - the key is that you go as close to edge-to-edge as you can get). Print out this sheet.

Put the sheet back in the paper tray so it will print on the blank side (usually printed side up). Open up a quick text processor (Notepad in Windows). Type a single space, then print (some text editors won't print a document with no data in it). Dirt in the fuser will get stuck to the black areas on your cleaning sheet. Test your work by printing another copy of " ". Repeat with a new cleaning sheet if necessary.

My Brother HL-5740 Is jamming after every print jog. It's pulling two sheets through, the first sheet with the print job and the second sheet clear, Its like every job has two sheets. The second sheet...

You probably need to clean the paper pickup roller above the paper tray. A clean cloth dipped in diluted kitchen detergent and a couple of drops of alcohol, will clean the rubber rollers. Stroke the cleaning cloth firmly from side to side all the way around all the rollers. Also clean the paper separation shoe (rubber pad) at the front of the paper tray. The last thing is to make sure your paper is dry. Damp paper sticks together

Can my esp5 all in one printer ,print both sides of a4 paper. if so how do you do it, ? Mak

Mak,the printer does not have the duplexer to print on two sides of paper, you need to manually flip the paper in order to get it to print on both sides.First of all give command and get the print out on a sheet.Place that sheet again the other side facing down on the bottom tray and give print command. You will get two-sided prints.

How do i make double sided copies for my HP 2840

When you call up your printer (usually [Ctl][P]) tell it to print even numbered pages only, but in reverse order, This means the last page to be printed will be page 2, and it will be face down on the top of the pile (blank side showing) Take the printed sheets and rotate them so the top (head) of the sheet is feeding back into the machine, with the blank sides up. Now call your print up again and tell it to print the odd pages only. The first sheet to be printed will be page 1 which will print on the blank side of page 2, and all the rest will follow in sequence, with the correct sides up. Works every time. The print control is part of the Windows system, so your application should provide the full functionality.
