I am having trouble finding a manual, but some have a Child Lock on the display to stop little fingers playing with settings.

Unfortunately, the EO 14 code indicates a communication problem between the touch pad and the electronic control unit (the brain of the range). The control unit thinks that the touch pad's wiring is not plugged in. This can be due to a problem with the wiring or the touch pad slowly failing. Before ordering parts, check if the wiring is secure on the connector. Then check the wiring for continuity. If those are fine, the touch pad is usually replaced next. If the new touch pad doesn't solve the problem, then try a new control panel.

You'll need to give the full model number (4 more digits) for the range if you want to get the correct part numbers that may be needed. I found one parts list for the 790.97502001 and the 790.97509001 here: ftp://ftp.electrolux-na.com/prodinfo_pdf/lassomption/5995602603.pdf . The difference between the models is their color; this results in different part numbers for the touch pad.

SOUNDS LIKE A BAD TOUCH PAD THINKING YOUR PRESSING EITHER THE 1-3 PADS, IT WONT TAKE OTHER PROGRAMING CAUSE IT THINKS YOUR PRESSING THE 1-3 PADS. REPLACE TOUCH PAD

WE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. DID YOU FIND A FIX FOR YOURS?

FO- the touch pad is faulty. replace the eoc(electronic oven control)

check cold water line...onthejob,,,im assuming no rinse cycle only..onthejob,,,no mater the cycle

I just purchased the kenmore elite double oven with the touch pad control centre. Has anyone had any problems with the control panel on these ovens?

Same thing happened to us. We just came back from Sears, where we bought another. Just for giggles, my wife suggested unplugging the old one and plugging it back in again. It works now. New one's going back to the store.

Touch pad is failing.Try not to get any moisture around this touch pad.Biggest mistake for all appliances is the touch pad and water dont mix well.
