But can you be more specific.I am not so good with downloading and what to do and I am really desperate, not believing in my printer any more....can you tell me more exactly what to do?

There is no driver for your printer to work with OSX. It was for Windows OS only. AND Apple does not support this particular model either.Link below list support printers by Apple OSX> http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3669
If your device cames with PS, yes you can.
With MacOs You need Post Script to print with any printer. I know that the latest versions of Mac already print with PCL. I can not tell you if your version is the latest. Although you can take a look on this web site http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php.
See you!
there is GIMP available for windows. follow this link: www.gimp.org/windows/ which will lead to this download: http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html
Choose your Operating System, and then download the driver for your OS Version, Mac OS X 10.2/10.3/10.4/10.5/10.6
After you install the drivers you should be able to find them manually in System\Library\Extensions or in Library\Printers. Things to try include
1) a different USB port
2) a different USB cable
3) repairing permissions, then shutdown and start up with a printer attached and turned on
4) use a utility program like Xupport to force optimization, then a restart will be required
If you are using Mac, make sure you choose or add the correct R1800 printer ( USB or Firewire ) to the Printer list in order for the printer to response. Hope this will help
Hmmm, I print from a Mac to an Epson Stylus Photo R1800 and a smaller HP inkjet one. What application are you trying to print from? And are we talking about the R1800?
There are no plans to have Macintosh software for the print server feature of our routers.
If you can perform port-based printing (OSX), you do not need printer software. Just print to the IP of the router (default is 192.168.0.1) and the Print Queue Name is lp (a lower case "L" and a lower case "P"). Use the current drivers for your printer. In some cases you made need postscript drivers for your printer from the manufacturer (if available). This feature is not supported by D-Link, as per packaging.
Please visit http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php3 for 3rd party drivers that may work with your D-Link router. D-Link does not and will not support these drivers. Use at your own risk.
Do not keep the product in anticipation of Macintosh compatibility. Return it to your reseller.
