Find the ohms on each subwoofer and how much it can handle. If you have two 4 ohm subs get a powerful MONO AMP and hook it up in parallal. If you have two 2 ohm subs get a (1 ohm stable) Powerful MONO AMP and hook it up in parallel or a powerful 2 CHANNEL AMP but the wiring can be a little complicated cause you've got to connect the subs in series and bridge it on the positive of 1 channel and the negative of 2nd channel for maximium benefit without burning out the 2 channel amp. If you got two 500 Watt subs then you got to find an amp that can put out 1000Watts anything less wont sound good and may burn out the subs because of too much distortion cause of lack of power.

I have a taramp 5k and keep burning subs so I am getting new subs from kicker and have a choice of 2k or 3k amps but don’t know which too choose 2k will under power but I feel 3k is just right just do t...

Kicker advises not to overdrive the system because it can burn stuff up. Having that much power does not mean you listen to it that loud. It means there is something called headroom in amp range that allows it to supply the needed power for bass response when it has to. There is also the issue of impedence of the speakers and how it affects wattage. Lower impedence impedence results in higher wattage at the cost of heat. There is nothing listed I see that can take all that amp has to offer. Also be sure that the cross over is working to seperate the signals to the speaker.

HIFONIC 1500D WATTS (2)2OHM L7s WAS TOLD CAN ONLY WIRE TO 350 WATTS EACH SPEAKER BEST BUY SAYS I NEED A NEW 1500 WATT KICKER AMP TO GET FULL POWER 1500 WATTS OR (2) 4 OHM L7S TO GET FULL 1 OHM 1500 WATTS

Look, if the amp is 1500watts mono, then you have the capability to run a sub up to the full 1500watts, but i see on the specs for this amp that it has output for 2 speakers, which means up to 750watts each speaker. That's more than enough to power your L7's. They're trying to sell you something you don't really need in my opinion. Hope this helps.

I have 2 12" solo-baric l7s but don't know what

Get a dual vented box for them. Not some cheap stuff either or it wont last. Then make sure theyre facing the back when you hook them up. I know its weird but they hit WAY harder that way trust me.

I have a kicker l7 12 and it plays sound but its stuck the speaker stays down or stays pushed out it dont move freely is there a way to fix that or can i send it someplace?

kicker gives you a credit if u ship it back to them and upgrade. i have blown several old l7s the new ones are way beter. upgrade i did and am alot happier. the 02 l7s lasted a few months the 08s still going strong with a bigger box and its been 1 1/2 years and no problems. and yes your sub is blown......

My Amp Keeps shutting off

You need to get an amp with higher wattage. Obviously, your amp cannot handle those two 10" monsters. hehe Nice Subs though :D

IS IT POSSIBLE TO REPLACE A BLACKENED COIL ON A 15 INCH L5? THE AUDIO REPAIR GUY TOLD ME HE DIDN'T KNOW IF YOU COULD REPLACE THE COIL, SAID I PLAYED IT TOO LOUD.

no - the coil cannot be replaced on any kicker speakers except the SOLO X
It is a proprietary part. Even kicker will not repair a speaker that is out of warranty.
You have a doorstop now (or passive radiator).
i am an authorized kicker dealer and get MANY questions about L5 and L7s.
I have (4) 15" L7s in my garage - hoping - someday - they will release spare cone assemblies. But for right now - they are displays only.

Wiring

provided that the memphis studio series is still 1 ohm stable you would wire each coil of each speaker like this : posive to positive negative to negetive on the speaker using 2 jumper wires then run 1 coil from each subs positive and negative the input on the amp that amp would see a 1 ohm load from both speakers as each speaker would become a 2 ohm load. from experience, memphis does not make an amplifier that is brutal enough on power for L7 15" solos, i have the st 1600 d amp running only 2 dual 4 ohm 10 L5's and it is barely enough power for them. For less money than your 2 subs cost retail I can get you brand new matching 2000 watt true competition rated and proven 1 ohm power and 2 subs that would physically fit in your current box, i would however recommend a very very large box for 2 15" squares. you can email me at [email protected] , my advice and system designs are always free even if you do not buy thru me. I am usually 1/3 to 1/2 what retail is with full warranties and i can drop ship anywhere in the U.S.A.
