Try this. Turn the ignition on, with the engine off. Turn on the radio. Press and hold button 4. The display should change. Use the Tuning buttons to enter the code. (I think its up/down to change the numbers). Enter the first number and press button 5 to confirm. Use the tuning buttons to move along to the next number, (i think it's left/right for this bit). Repeat the method for the first number, (Set number then press five to confirm). Once you enter the last digit the display should switch back to the normal display and be ready to use.

well you can actually get your display working again in under 15 minutes with a soldering iron.(i know not exactly what you asked, but a more effective solution if you still have this stereo). take the deck out, remove the three screws holding the metal casing on. carefully move the cd player back an inch or two (make sure you don't pull out the ribbon cable for the cd by accident or unclip it if you know how) on the right side of the board you will see a 'chain' of resistors/ little black rectangles with R27 on them. resolder the ends of each one, either just remelt the solder that is there, or get the very fine electronics solder and add a bit on each spot. i am a lady and i did this today in about 15 minutes, and now my display works, so it is not too hard. i did get my hubby to remove the deck from the truck for me though :-)

It would be best if you pull the fuse panel off while your car is switched on. Pull the fuse out for about a minute! Then put the fuse back and push the power button. I hope it will solve your problem.

How to change japanese to english language radio VXH-089CV

Car Audio &... | Answered on Oct 14, 2020

There are a number of websites charging various amounts from ridiculously low to eye-wateringly expensive promising to provide unlock codes for car radios with varying degrees of success. I used one years ago for a Peugeot radio and it was cheap and spot on, though I can't remember which. That was the only success and I lost faith in them after several failures.

Dealers used to provide codes free and then suddenly became expensive, fortunately we had a young fellow locally with a clever laptop who would recode a radio for a reasonable price.
