Won't print but says "Ready"

I have the Sony UPDR100 plugged into my laptop with XP and it says "ready" on the printer and when I got to Adobe Photoshop and tell it to print on 4x6 and select the Sony as the printer to send it to then it asks me to name my file, i do and it saves a new file in my folder and my little printer pops up at the bottom of my screen for 2 seconds and disaprears and no photos is printed.

i have plugged the SCSI into the laptop, plugged the printer into my power source, then boot the printer then boot my computer and still have no luck.

Thanks

What is the connection to the laptop? Are you using an SCSI to USB adapter?
Most laptops will not have direct 50pin SCSI

When using a sony up-dr100 and photoshop, you don't go to 'print' you use 'export'

Keeps saying printer is "offline", but still

Contact the printer customer service, they may need to install an updated driver (especially if the printer is a Lexmark).

Hp laserjet 4 does not print.

Just get another printer cable. That should be the issue since the printer, you said, does self test successfully.

DLINK DP-300U. Desktop shows printer offline, Laptop prints OK.

First thing.. plug printer directly into PC.. does it work? .. if so its is a port setting. If now it is the device config on PC

If Port Setting Issues.. are you going through any other devices on the network or is you firewall blocking the IP.

If device Config issue check to see it is setup up as an IP Port not a normal local port

Printer not printing

Uninstall everything. Reboot. Unplug the printer. Install the software. Reboot. When everyting is up. Plug in the printer. Have the driver disc ready, install the printer. Reboot, go to settings, printers and see if the printer is listed. If it is, make it the default printer.Good luck

Printer womt print Adobe pdf file

Hi , Have you checked with -
1. uninstalling and re-instlling the Adobe application once more?
2.the spooler - opn run on your computer and type down "net stop spooler"- let the command window close - then again pen ru and type down " net start spooler " and let the DOS / command window open and close again. Try taking the print with the printer in the ready status.
3. usbcable detection
Step 2 and 3 will not be most effective if the other applications are printing fine.
Try uninstalling and re-installing the Adobe application.
Or else you have to contact the Adobe vendor for further issues. It could also conflict if you have older version of IE in your computer.Becaus Adobe 8.0 is the latest version that might conflict with the older version of IE

Wont print says its ready

Remove the USB cable from laptop, reboot the laptop. Turn off the printer and turn it back on. Once you are in windows, plug the USB cable back in. Sometimes the machine will lose it's connection. By doing the above steps will renew the connection. ope that helps.

Back door closed

I did not get any error message but the 6940 printer would not print. Instead "Ready" the printer said "door open". When I deleted printer and plugged the usb cable back in the XP machine found the new hardware, said "Ready" and could print.
