I have a AIWA brand music system model NSX-V70. It has Tape--Tuner--Video/Aux--CD facility. Problem: 1) CD changer is not operating, it is locked, not opening as a result can not play any CD or DVD. It is a three CD changer. 2) One of the Tape deck is locked with tape inside. There are two deck. The other is working properly. I want to know if there is any body in Pune, India who can service this and make it operative.

It is possible that your Cd and teh tape section has a belt problem. The loading belts of the cd and the tape transport is worrn out and results in non action. Since there is no drive the cd mechanism nor your tape mechanism will work. If you have a help around ask them to open the top cover, remove the tray and look inside for the loading motor of the CD. replace and keep the Cd section out. by removing the connecting corrds very carrefully. ZThe tape deck mechanism is within and you will see the belt worn out. The front panel and the deck assembly can be taken out and the belts can be replaced. Attempt to do the job only if you are familiar with electronics other wise get help from a good reputed service shop to replace the motors. However this is not a expensive work but must involve great caution not to damage any parts with inexperience. I hope you understand and find this helpful. Pune is a great place and if you look around find a good sincere technician to help . Good day

How to play CD on Aiwa NSX-3500 (part of CX-N3500U) w/o remote control?

I thought that I had the same problem. I then discovered that when I put 3 CD's in it started up on it's own. If you push the demo button you can see how it's supposed to light up the number of tracks in a square on the right of the display. It wasn't doing that until I put in all 3. Then it started up and I was able to use the disc 1, 2 & 3 buttons to change from 1 CD to the next and I used the Up and Down buttons to change songs and the play button above the tape deck is multi-functional. Hope this helps.

Aiwa NSX-V70 will not recognize that a CD is present. 3 disk tray rotates, CD disk is "picked up" when selected, but the system does not read the CD.

Hi there. Found your post as I was looking for an answer to the same issue with my NSX v70 about an hour ago. I'm pleased to say that I found a solution on the web and mine is now working fine!

Try this address below and follow the instructions. The knob you need is black, with some white numbers on and can be seen from the back of the unit once you have removed the black casing and the silver back. Quite easy when you know how! Good luck.

No sound from stereo

If you can hear a hiss then the spkrs and amp are OK. It sounds like you're not on whichever source you're wanting to hear or it is on mute. Make sure ther is no function enabled that turns the sound off or over-rides it (like a tape monitor or AUX in...).

CD Changer

Common Problem with AIWA 3 disc machines. I have 3 in my service shop right now. For tray not rolling in on it's own, the drive rollers have to be changed, along with the Drive Belt. Also, for CD not reading, try CD lens cleaner.
