Their are four posible reasons for above problem as follows.
First the Vibarating pump not creating pressure, usaly if here the sound it is pressing but not always. You can loose the pipe nut after the pump to see if you have any pressure after you press the coffee button. Be carefull with the water leaking.
Second the coffee solenoid valve that is on the grouphead might be stuck from dry coffee, it can be removed and cleaned with hot water and a wire brush.
Third the coffee group shower and inside round dish might also blocked from dry coffee, remove it and clean it.
Finnaly the more difficult problem might be that boiler-thermoblock is full off scale. So you must remove and descale the thermoblock boiler and the copper pipes to them.
This problem is the more difficult to be performed however if the water you have use was very hard then this is the most posible.
Good luck,

Coffee machine steam wand pressure issue

Good question. I have been surprised before today after checking the manual for various gadgets. There are thousands of manuals online which can be searched for if it is missing. We have a bench top water filter fitted. When you have one of those, the difference is so noticeable that you will only want drinking water from there

Water dripping not running when making coffee

First question:Are the rest of the machine still working correctly?
Second question:How was the waterflow before descalling?

Here are short description on how most of these machines work.

It will have a cold water reservoir for filling with cold water with some sort of water full sensor, it will then be followed with a high pressure pump.which are used to fill the boiler. After the boiler it will then go out to your to disspencers.in your case the steamer and one for coffee. The outlet at the boiler will propably be split in two by using valves.

To come back to your problem i assume it had a waterflow probleme before you descalled. When you are descaling your machine their are some times pieces of scale that is not propably disolved by the descaling process which will get stuck in the pipe work acting as a valve
causing waterflow problemes.

The other probleme might be that your water dispencers valve might be faulty either by a poor supply(power) or the sollenoid is starting to size up.

Just switch of the machine when taking of any covers you are working with water and electricity which do not mix well

Hi, I haven't used my machine for 3 years. I bought it brand new and for some odd reason its not working now. The steamer works fine, however espresso does not come out after I insert pod and switch on...

EXPLANATION: It is normal at that type of machines when they stay long unused you may have trouble with pump. The pump has 2 non return valves, very small and very sensitive ones. If they don't work properly the piston of pump cant pump watter for brewing coffee. SOLUTION: 1 - You should replace the pump, it will provide pressure and you will be able to get coffee from coffee brewing outlet 2 - (in case you cant get new pump fast enough) You open the pump carefully, the non return valves are in outlet part of pump. Before opening you can try blowing with compressed air = 4 bar (5-10 seconds) many times that helps to get in order the valves without opening pump.

If I have any amount of coffee in the filter, even a tiny amount not packed at all, I cannot get any water through my machine. It sounds as though the pump goes on and off. But, if I empty out the...

First, if water comes out of the wand while you are brewing coffee then the valve has a problem, it might need to be replaced or the pressure buildup is forcing water through. Remove the shower screen and screw in the head and clean, then descale the machine using Scalekleen, vinegar is no the best thing for descaling the machine.

Not frothing milk

that means that the steamer is not generating enough pressure steam.

This happens either because there is not enough heat, or if you release the steam when pressure is not enough.

Very common problem with the american maid makers.

bear also in mind that Krups are not the best at frothing milk, and this is also a basic model.

If you want the best capuccino Coffee machine, buy the italian ones, Gaggia, Delonghi, Ariete etc. that are all great at this, or get a bigger Krups as a replacement like the Krups XP405040 that is also good at capuccino

Saeco Aroma Problems

Whenever we had this problem we needed to prime the pump. Turn the machine on and wait for the coffee light to come on. Then push the coffee button and turn the steamer on wide open until water comes through the coffee outlet. I hope that helps. The user manual can be downloaded from the saeco site.
