My tv all of a sudden started to show thin red lines protruding from the right off all objects in an outline form. It is very apparent when utilizing the menu screen of the digital cable. It is not the cable itself as the problem persists on different video inputs with the dvd player as well. Any solutions?
Have you tried to press the magic focus button ont the tv. sounds like you might need to just do some convergence alignment.

I have tried the magic focus and it will allow me to alter the other 2 colors but not red. Red seems to be truely out of whack and I'm pretty clueless when it comes to circuit boards, sodering, and anything else when it comes to fixing a tv. Any idea of the costs to have a tech out to fix the problem? Obviously the tv is a little large to be putting in the backseat and taking to the shop. Just trying to get an idea of what the problem is and a cost to repair as I am concerned a tech will try to upsell me and charge me much more than I need to pay. Thanks for any advice you can give.
I don't have the thin red lines...mine are blue. did you get your problem resolved? if so, how?
