We were watching Tv and all of a sudden a long white line showed up across the tv which changed into a red line. There is no picture. When I turn off a white line shows. When I turn back on , a thin red line goes across the screen and stays on a blank screen.
Sounds like you have a vertical sweep problem. Where the fault lies cpuld be the vertical output IC the verticle b+ feed, could be the capacitors in the vertical circuit?? Your gonna need to troubleshoot thr vrtical circuit if your not a tech thin my advise is to take the set to a pro for sn est. Good Luck

There is a thin red horizontal line that flickers across the screen. Comes and goes. Picture could be normal before seeing the red line but then once the red line appears, color turns green. Faces of people are green. White coloring seems to stay the same.
I turned on the tv and it looks cloudy with white horizontal line across the screen
