Try this, in your manual at the bottom of pg. 229 that says, "If you turn off the power while the 'shooting settings display' screen is displayed, the same screen will be displayed when you turn on the power again. To avoid this, press the <INFO> button to turn off the display on the LCD monitor, then turn off the power switch."
The converse also applies. Get into the shooting settings display with the INFO button and power down. The display will come on when you power up again.
It also solved my problem of getting the mode selection button selections to show on the LCD when needed.

LG Flatron T710SH . when i power off the moniter

no need to remove vga.

just remove power cable and press ON button and then put back the power cord and presss ON button.

some time it jhappens with hardware

Not display on moniter

Hello here is the homepage:

No display is usualy a faulty power supply, bad mainboard, or leaking capacitors, or a fault in screen or cable/connection.

Your mainboard is probably useing a ITX power supply.
Try to renew that, and see if it helps.

I have sony vaio desktop. My moniter keeps going off and on. Tried different moniter does the same thing. Could it be something that the desktop might be causing. Also, last year I replaced my power...

When you say 'on and off' you have not indicated if the whole power on the monitor is going on and off or if the monitor remains turned on but the screen display goes on and off.
Is the monitor power plugged through the socket on the pc or direct to a power outlet?
multiplug power outlet boards are often a source of power failure.
Did you try a different power lead for the monitor and b) a different wall socket?
If it is the screen display that is intermittent you should check the graphics card is fully seated (if it's a separate one)

My samsung syncmaster 732NW moniter doesn't gives the display. the ligth in the power button at right bottom corner only blinks, please help me!!

First place to look will be the power supply section, see if it has bad caps (bulging top), check to see if you have 12~18vdc feeding the inverter circuits, see example of failed SAMSUNG monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Moniter is not displayed energy star not came on

most likely is the power supply in the monitor.
gateway LCD has a building power supply in the monitor. it supplies 38W to the lamp.
since there is no display, it tells me that there is no power to the monitor.
if try another monitor and it works fine. then the problem is the monitor. (dispaly lamp is good for 17 Years- according to the tech spec.) but the power supply is pushing too much power.
other vendors max power is apporximately 30W.

Hi there,

Symptom : No Image on the screen. I cannot turn on the monitor.

Checklist 1 : Is the power connected properly ?
Action : Check the power cord connection and supply.

Checklist 2 : Can you see "No Connection. Check Signal Cable" on the screen ?
Action : Check the signal cable connection.

Checklist 3 : If the power is on, reboot the computer to see the initial screen ( the login screen), which can be seen.
Action : * If the initial screen (the login screen appears, boot the computer in the applicable mode (the safe mode for Windows 98/95) and then change the frequency of the video card.
* Note : If the initial screen ( the login screen) does not appear, contact a service center or your dealer.

Sympton : I cannot see the ON Screen Display.
Checklist : Have you locked the On Screen Display (OSD) Menu to prevent changes ?
Action : Unlock the OSD by pressing the MENU button for atleast 10 seconds.
