This has nothing to do with shielding or noisy controls or bad cables.

The problem is caused by the PULSUS PS9829B digital audio processor. We ordered it in from a Samsung authorized service centre.
Problem is now solved. Unit works perfectly. If you have never tried working with surface-mount ICs I would skip it if I were you. This IC has over 100 pins on it. However the part is available from Samsung. Print this comment and take it to your local service centre along with your receiver. They should be able to repair the board unless they are wussies and cannot do surface-mount work.

It could be a power supply in the pc died and then it probably took out the video card. It could be spike in power source took out the PC or components.

The morel hear is prove it. What have you done to confirm it is the monitor have you connected a monitor that works to it like a old one that a friend has does not use it. As it stands not enough data to tell what the problem is.

You could be like a friend of mine He unplugged his PC from the box from the electric outlet to protect it from the thunderstorm and left the modem plugged in and the lighting came through and destroyed the whole system so he had to have a new box built which meant a new motherboard CPU memory hard drive DVD/CD drive power supply.

I just had the thought you could be talking about a TV and a cable company black box in which cause it could be you need to take the remote and change the input.

Could be a lot of things. Fortunately, there is a relatively easy way to figure one of these problems out, but it involves taking the unit apart enough to access the electronic components, which I have never done with a Samsung, so you will have to get some other help to figure that out. Once you can get to the electronics, you turn the set on and wait until it goes blank...then you spray "cool spray" on the various components, one at a time, until the set comes back on. Voila, you found the heat sensitive part, so now you have to replace it. That will be another fun experience, but if you can get that part replaced, chances are you set will work fine.
Another scenario is more complicated, since some part may be drawing too much current, and a shut-down circuit is being triggered. A schematic and knowledge of electronics is needed in this case. Get an estimate before you get it repaired by a shop. Sometimes you're better off buying a new one, unless you can fix it yourself. You could try a low noise fan, blowing on the back of the tv, as an afterthought...might get you by for awhile.

on your desktop, click on the right click on the mouse. then go to properties, and screen settings. you can change the resolution from there. I would also recommend you to work on 1280x1024 as it fits best on the 17' you purchased.

Most probably your computer has a higher resolution or refresh frequencies set in Desktop Settings than supported by the monitor. It might be also, that you have previously installed a monitor driver for a different monitor model, and the computer is using resolutions and frequencies supported by that previous monitor, with which your new one can't cope.
The solution would be to boot the computer in safe mode (hit F8 key when the computer is starting, you can hit it a couple of times, until you see a menu; choose "Safe Mode" and hit Enter).
Go to Desktop Properties, change to Settings tab, and click "Advanced" button. In the new window choose "Monitor" tab and change the monitor to "Plug and Play monitor". Click OK to accept the settings and close both windows.
Now reboot the computer - it should start with a rather low resolution, but the picture should be visible. Now you have to go to your Desktop Settings again, Advanced tab, and move the resolution slider to position 1280x1024. Accept and enjoy.
If the computer still doesn't boot, go to safe mode again, go to Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager, drill down to Monitors, and delete all the monitor devices installed. After a reboot, system should start up and find new hardware, and install Plug and Play monitor. Set the optimum resolution of 1280x1024 as written before.

Disconnect de power Cord behind the monitor for about 10 minutes. Then reconnect again. If the problem persist you can call the Samsung and talk about your problem. I had the same problem they swap my monitor, because was a fault (if your monitor still in the warranty.

1 it is due to card not matchig with monitor. 2 whan you install new hardware you will have to change the setting please check it.

pls press the auto button it will automatically adjust the ratio if it is fail to do that chang the mode by entering in to setup with the help of panel button or if you have mannual just refer it it willl help you.

Right Click on your desktop, then select properties. Then Advanced tab. Then you need to change your screen resolution. There will be a little slider that you can move left or right. Move it until you get it to the 1280x1024.
