Stuck music on SanDisk m240

I recently got a used mp3 player from my sister. When I plugged it into the computer, I could add songs and listen to them and everything was fine. But then I discovered that there were other random songs on there that I didn't put on. I figured they were there from when my sister had it but I can't seem to figure out how to get them off. I can take off any songs I added but I can't take off the ones from before. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the Problem well your problem is that you are trying to Transfer your music from the MP3 Player to the Computer which you need to do. As far as deleting your Songs and things like that there is no need. Which you need to do is always try to back up your Music. That is why a lot of people with there MP3 Players always have there players freeze or be corrupted due to being not having your Music backed up regularly

Sansa m240 player

I dont know if the mac is the same as windows, but plug it in. Go to my computer. You should see Sansa m240, or F:\, or a personalized name (right click and click rename). Copy the songs you want and paste them in the player. It should pull up a message that says copying. When it's done, you can unplug it and listen to your music

Sandisk 240 1.0 gb

I had this same problem. What I ended up doing was going into My Computer into the device itself and seeing what showed up. It appears a few new songs I popped on there the day after were appearing but nothing else. I deleted all the files, unplugged it from the computer and let the library update, old songs were still playing. Plugged it back into the machine and voila they showed up.

Sansa m240 and itunes

Probably not, try going to where the songs are all stored [My Music] select all the songs and open with the Sansa converter-to transfer music or use Windows Media Player.

Otherwise open My Computer then SansaM240 folder and drag the songs into Music.

Reset button

When you plug the USB Cable into the device, go to My COmputer. In your removeable devices it should say something to the effect of, Sansa. Right click this and open. It will open a folder containing all of your music. You can delete them from there. Question for you. How do you add songs to a playlist or to your favorites. The help disk that came with mine doesnt work.
