Mine did the same once and although at first I was convinced it was the printer reading incorrectly, in the end, after opening all the parts that open up, I did find a sheet of paper wrapped around the rollers at the back.

There is a paper sensor inside the front door. check that nothing is blocking that sensor.it's inside the front door ,behind a plastic cover. Also clean the pick up roller.

OKI b410d error 382

That is a paper jam code. Reopen the cover, and clear all paper jams. Close the cover, and then I would reset the machine by turning it off and on if the code continues. http://www.german-parts.de/oki_manual/paperjam/stau_b400_series.pdf

Oki b431d paper jam

Paper jam is initiated by a sensor that does not register (or tell the logic board it has registered) a movement of the paper through the printer. Try finding out what sensor is near the point the paper stopped. Look if anything id blocking a optical sensor, or any small lever is blocked in free movement. Close all covers correct and make sure nothing is blocking the covers. Not even just a small piece of paper.

Display says " open front cover"

where the rollers are located is a small electric eye sensor that detects the paper, I would almost put money on it that there is dirt of some kind down in there, and it is blocking the sensor, so it says "jam" even if there isn't any paper in the printer at all. Give it a real good cleaning in that area and all should work as it is supposed to.

Says a front paper jam but no paper jammed any where

Your paper feder belt has ink on it and will not feed the paper. Remove the rubber belt and clean it good and clean and use compressed air on the printer tray area. If this does not work open the front feeder tray and set your computer to print from it. After about 500 copys it will normally have c leaned itself and be ready to feed from the main roller.

I have unjammed printer - still says that there is a paper jam

If you have removed all drums, fuser, transport belt, cassette and duplexer if fitted and ensured there is no paper, and turned off and on printer whilst disconnected from pc, and it still instantly comes up with a jam, then I'll tell you where it is... open front cover, in center,front.. there is a cover a little bigger than match box, it clicks off, under here is your jammed sheet , people tend to just rip out the jam, and leave behind a small section of the paper, that you cant see, unless you look very carefully or remove little cover to expose it.

OKI C5100 printer repeated jams. Usually flashing the code of "380: paper jam" as the message.

I too kept getting the front cover paper jam despite followings Oki's paper jam removal instructions and blowing out the printer with compressed air.
In my case, the paper drawer was the problem.  When you pull out the drawer there is a spring loaded piece of white plastic at the very front of the drawer.  In the center of that is a gray rubber strip.  That strip had come loose in the center and bowed out, preventing paper from exiting the paper drawer.  I manually removed the strip, clipped off a little piece from one end so that it fit back in the recessed cavity on the white plastic piece and glued it back down.
This should be applicable to all Oki c5xxx color LED printers.
